POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Fatigue
The fatigue has hit
The world becomes static
Fuzzy
My head rings
Not loudly
Softly
For it is too tired otherwise
I dont think
My eyes droop
My head is empty
Unable to conjure thought
Let alone image or experience
Fingers move
Unconsciously
Uncontrollably
But in a seemingly controlled dance
Is this the voice of my subconscious?
Or does that question mean I’m conscious
I still self police
I just thought “I hope that makes sense”
Who cares
Sanity is just a...

London sun
There’s something so poignant about the London sun
But I cant seem to pinpoint it
Perhaps its the rarity of the sudden basking of a normally sodden city
It makes me feel like a freshly hatched chick
Perhaps its also how the sun crawls into the crevices within and between buildings
Illuminating the beauty of the iron red brick
Shining a spotlight on the artefacts i seem to forget about time and time again
London sun turns sodden fields into picnic grounds
London sun bustles the empty streets
London sun turns blank faces into...

self fulfilling prophecy
Why do I always do this to myself
Why do I always try and fix people who are broken
When I am still broken myself
Why cant I stand up for myself
Even after being trampled on day in and day out
Have I lost control of my feet?
When in drought why do I water my garden
Instead of quenching my thirst
my flowers and crops get stepped on anyway
When will I not be destined for doom
Even when I try to lead myself to the light
Gloomy darkness always comes
Why do I always try and fix people who are broken
When I am still broken myself
Why cant I stand up for myself
Even after being trampled on day in and day out
Have I lost control of my feet?
When in drought why do I water my garden
Instead of quenching my thirst
my flowers and crops get stepped on anyway
When will I not be destined for doom
Even when I try to lead myself to the light
Gloomy darkness always comes

childhood comtemplations
It was 5 minutes of your life
But it cost me more than 5 years of mine
A twisted pleasure in your mind
And then you took away what was mine
I was a little girl with a big heart
Then you tore my innocence apart
I see you go about your day
While im paralysed like clay
I see you go about your life
I see that now you’ve got a wife
I wonder what she would think
If she saw this written in ink
But it cost me more than 5 years of mine
A twisted pleasure in your mind
And then you took away what was mine
I was a little girl with a big heart
Then you tore my innocence apart
I see you go about your day
While im paralysed like clay
I see you go about your life
I see that now you’ve got a wife
I wonder what she would think
If she saw this written in ink
