POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write mostly love poems and pain poems. I do spoken word and song writing. I love broadening my horizons with reading other poets works and being inspired. "free your mind, free your soul"
Drifting Back
The devil kissed my neck and it felt like heaven
Yes, I know I'm drifting back into the dark
But conveniently I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream.
I never thought I’d find comfort in a voice
Time went slow with you and you really fucked me up
But I liked it.
Insanity dripped all over me like night
I'm nothing like them
I'm worse.
Tears are prettier than you think
And I must have been beautiful when I cried
Because I convinced myself it was real
And you played along.
Infinity tasted just like your lips
Bruised, battered, and I was...

Women as a Metaphor
To the kings who don't think queens rule them
You are right when you say that a man is the head in the relationship
But what you've forgotten is that women are the necks that guide it
Over looked and underestimated
Over emotional and underprivileged
Us women
Are the reasons for your smiles
The reasons for your orgasms
The reason for your first breath into this world
Yet, like dark family secrets our values are locked behind closed doors
Our worth is something negotiated with a label
Fuck you who said you can't turn a hoe into a housewife ...

Empty is still Broken
I will never understand why people assume that being heartless will stop them from being hurt
If a vase filled with silver liquid love falls and shatters
Its insides will seep out
And though it is empty
It is still broken
I will never comprehend why its so easy to give ourselves away to unstable, shaking hands instead of
Keeping ourselves until the one who's humble hands are right
Who's touch is worth our worth
Who's grasp wont make us cry
I don't get it
When I was a child my mother gave me one pair of gloves
I never learned to share my...

Sad Girls
We're addicted to the pain
That they bring us
Because feeling pain
Is better than feeling nothing
Instead of wiping our tears
We let them trace our cheekbones
Because their remains
Are reminders of what used to be
We try to give them the love
That they lack
But we dont know how to accept the love
That they don't give
Sad girls smoke alot
Look inside our eyes
And see ashes leftover from
Bitter sweet hypocrisies
At the end of the day
We were more in love with
The thought of our yous
Than...

Summer Nights
There was something about the moon and the stars on a cool summer night
Something about a love so timeless
Whose desires still burn so vividly
Three billion light years away
You were my moon
You shone so brightly in my blackest nights
Yet you always had a dark side
That haunted you from behind
Your eyes were my sunset
Beautifully falling into a vast cascade of intimate space
I would watch those sunsets for hours
While dancing in spring flower fields
Your lips were like ocean waves
Bubbling onto my surface
Kissing...

Broken
This girl was so empty
that she would run to him
So that he could fill her empty space
With his toxic waste
She didn't know what love was so
She would look for love
Where love was
But it wasn't there
Because it never was
And it never will be
This girl was so broken
That when you tried to put her back together again
She would end up more fucked up
Because its hard to fix something that's meant to be broken
This girl
Had every part of me
Like a long lost childhood memory
I looked in the mirror and realized she was me...
that she would run to him
So that he could fill her empty space
With his toxic waste
She didn't know what love was so
She would look for love
Where love was
But it wasn't there
Because it never was
And it never will be

when did we lose our innocence
Do you ever look at old cigarettes on the side of the road on a rainy day
Who's pain stained lips kissed them so sweetly
Who's sorrow strung lungs felt a smoke so bitter
a burn so gray
Broken glass shards of a shattered heart
Pierce their insides
Swallowing sadness
Exhaling vain
I watch
As blue birds dance so gently amongst cement edges
To my left a flame in the finger of adolescence
At what age is your innocence
Stripped away
When did our skies turn to gray
And our dreams appear less vivid
Why did love...
