she dreamed
he'd taste
of
mist & moonlight
when they kissed ~
but shadows
spilled from his tongue
to darken
twilight's amber luminescence

beneath slender fingers
tracing
the hazy lines
which slowly evaporated
each time
she leaned near
to catch her breath
on his lips...

nails gouging pink flesh
to carve your epithet
into my bleeding gums
your name always brings
a smile to my lips ~
pressing torn french kisses
to your backhand caress
in a whiplash catch.22
with my glass skull trapped
between concrete and steel

clawed into your eyelids
