You're never there
Always a shadow in the back of my mind
Slowly coming forward before you seclude yourself deeper
You say you care
You say you're always here
But when it comes down to the final moment your love for me is absent
Dispose of my heart if it makes you feel better

Every one of them has a story behind it
Even the smallest one has the biggest reasoning
The trails that mark my arm
The black that consumed my heart after you left
You promised me your heart
You broke mine instead
You see what you caused me to do

My heartbreak
Our love for one another was all that kept my torn soul alive
It gave me motivation to live through the pain
You came into my life when my life was reaching it's end
You kept me alive, you kept me as whole
Your love for me would pick me up like a child
It was that night that you broke my heart that your gravity threw me down like a stone
I love you, you can count on that never changing

Do I know you
Do I know you
You look like me
You sound like me
You act like me
But do I really know you
I can't know you
You don't act like you used to
You have more marks on your body than I remember
You've become more secluded
You rarely ask for help anymore
What's happened to you
You're not the person I used to know
You are more afraid
More timid, more hurt
I am going to ask you one last time

But then I realize
My reflection can't talk

My blade
A blade on my skin
I need it like other people need air in their lungs
It keeps me going
It gives me feelings that I can't normally experience
I'm so numb without it
My blade is my life support
We have been through so much together
It's been there for me when no one else was
My blade is my best friend
It will never leave me, because I won't let it
It gives me an escape
It gives me an outlet
It gives me a reason to put it down
Cause just like a person
All it will do is hurt me more and more

You look at me and assume that I'm fine
You talk to me and assume that i don't have a care in the world
You get to know me, you see how wrong you were
I hold pain inside me, so you don't concern yourself with me
When you're gone my pain exits through crimson tides from my wrists

It's my fault I feel this way
I wish that you could see the damage you do
The way you tear my heart to shreds
Whenever you think that you're only making me happy
It's the small things really
The way you move my arms away from you
Makes me feel like you want me to let go forever
The way you hate when I talk about forever
As if you don't want to spend it with me
I just love you so much, why can't you see that's my reasoning

Mirror tell me
Do you ever get tired?
Tired of looking at the reflection of a freak
Someone who will never meet anyone's standards
A complete loser who noone would miss
Do you get tired of seeing pain ridden eyes look into you?
Thinking about how it will all soon end
Do you wish you could just break and not exist anymore?
Can I tell you this mirror, I wish I could
Do you ever get tired?

All I want to do Is devote my time to being in your presence
And you refuse to give me that
I ask time after time
But still no time alone shall be spent
Is it because I'm not worthy of being seen alone with you?

You think you are such a higher rank than me
Like you are above me on a level I can't even reach
You wrap your hand around my throat to feel power
But if you step back you will realize something
You will see that the person you are strangling, is yourself
How does it feel?
To cut off your own source of oxygen
To drag yourself down when you think you are dragging me

You torment me because I am what you can't be
