The Day I Knew.
As I watched you walk across a crowded room
So confident and handsome-
Slowly our eyes met, like some,
t.v romance and
everything else just faded away,
and there was only you and I,
suspended in time and space
We were surrounded by strangers,
but in each others gaze, alone
As I walked towards you, my heart
beat faster and faster
My hands got clammy, and I,
began to nervously shake
The closer you came to me,
the more nervous I got
Like a teenage girl with her crush
Once we reached one another
we embraced...

Why
I woke up to you this morning
ready for what felt like war
don't know if that is what
you intended or if that's
just the way it played out
You said something that
hurt me to the core
for you know all about my
past and how I never wanted
anything close to it again
I don't know if you meant it
or if you just wanted to upset
me, but either way it worked
My heart is hurt and I don't know
how to let that go for you where
the one who was going to be
different remember you told me

A Romp in the Metaphorical Hay.
As I sit here with the suns' rays
covering me like a warm waterfall
and hitting my body, I quickly
become hot
Little droplets begin to form on
my body, so I remove my shirt and
reveal my bikini-top
My husbands eye I catch watching me
and I soon lose my bottoms as well
Now my husband is almost chasing me,
trying to help me out of the rest
Playfully I grab the hose and threaten
to squirt him if he doesn't stay back,
but do you truly think that he cared

Color-blind
Black and white that's what the world sees
It's a shame a person's worth is judged by
the color of their skin, and not the heart
and soul they have within, God man can be
such a fool
A young black man is shot down, he had to be
up to no good cause his pants hung below his knees
but a white woman is raped and murdered and all of a
sudden there is all hell to pay
Racism is the oldest crime around, why can't we see
past color?
I work with a young black woman named Meka, she is a
single mother who does her best to show her son a good
life...

I wish I could see myself threw your eye's
I wish I could see myself threw your eye's
you say I am beautiful, but I can't see that
when I look into the mirror, I don't see beauty
I see pain and scars of the past back to haunt
I wish I could see myself threw your eye's
you say my body is sexy, well who the hell
are you looking at
I have no breasts or ass, straight like an
arrow and small like a toothpick, no curves
or lines, a body full of scars just once I

Life as I know it
Watching my children at play makes me
Wish life stayed that easy
But nothing is that easy or pure life is hard
Not only to be with people but also just
Getting out of bed, my life has gone down
Hill and it's no ones fault but my own
I entered a dark spot and am trapped like
A rabbit it a snare ready to chew threw it's own
Leg just to be free,
But my leg is out of reach I can't get to it
To get free,
In my world witch is mostly in my head
It's dark no doors or windows on love
Just hate, hate for my self mutilating my own...

You always talk about how much you
love me and my kids,
I call bull-shit on you
you wouldn't know what love
was if it bit you in the ass
As a child all you did was get
drunk and had me and Melissa
pick your drunk ass up off the floor
with a new man every night you
where the bar whore and Melissa
and I did not have a mother we
had a drunk and druggie to clean after
Now that we are forced to live with you
you talk to me like I am shit, cuss and scream
but expects me to not say a thing and just take

Pain
As I lay here in tears
trying my hardest to
hold in the pain and
just pray it goes away,
Shooting pain down
my arms and legs
hips hurt so bad I
can't eat or sleep,
If I eat I get sick
that's how bad it
hurts; Doctors say
all they can do is
keep me medically
comfortable,
And they can't even
do that
because I have been
on pain pills so long
they don't work
so worried addiction
will come along with
those pills

dealt with this pain
when I broke the...
