Power Trip
b] The measure of a man is what he does with power. Whether he crushes his followers beneath him. Or encourages them to flower.
If he's the giver of life, or a tyrant who devours. He'll be swayed by those beneath him. Depending if they'll rise or cower.
Will they concede to every demand? Instead of storming the towers. For this maybe the difference between those who are lead. And the world's superpowers.[/b]
The measure remain as what he does with power (Plato)

New Roads
At the beginning of all things. What was past must end. Leaving the mistakes behind.
So you may finally start again. Your resilience must rise. And you must choose to transcended.
The fear that binds you. Will forever hold you back. Unless you're willing to shrug off your trepidations and go on the attack.
Only then will you see that the decks are never stacked. For walking the road less traveled. Infused me with the strength I lacked.
And courage that allowed me to build a fortress that will never be sacked.

Lessons Unlearned
Even children born from hate. Can wipe clean their misguided slates. And break the shackles their bloodlines would fate.
By looking upon a world and finally seeing it straight. That the beliefs of their parents are by no means a mandate. And outside their homes they live in a country of free states.
Where intolerance bears no weight. And every human being is free to debate. Their path in the world when confronted by hate.

Sight Unseen
It's the end of a hot day. And the beginning of a cold night. A cycle that continues since the cosmos of first shined light.
But there's nothing that illuminates the darkened skies. As any remaining light has long since faded from my eyes. For this is all I have thought of since my vision died.
The idea of sunsets forgotten. As if it had all been a lie. All for the duty of my government.
The same one that found it convenient to forget I'm alive. And all I can do is wonder what will happen in time. For when I feel the warmth...

Atypical
Forever on the outside looking in. At places, I'll never be a part of. As if, I was born without skin.
For the blood that marks my hands. Is a testament to where I've been. And a ledger compiling all my sins.
I don't want to be normal in any way shape or form. All I want is a place that will keep me warm. Be in the arms of someone who will shelter me from the storms.
And let me live in peace even though I think beyond the norm.

Turning Point
All we can do here is die. We can't hope to change the world. For those with the means will never let us try.
They made for too much money by polluting our skies. Gained their power by forcing us to give our lives. For god, country and to uphold their lies.
Getting stronger with every tear a grieving mother cries. Whenever a father says his final goodbyes. Because they refused to ask the question why?
Why are we allowing this world to be changed by those who don't have its best interest in mind? By politicians who will forever leave the common man behind....

FREE EYES
It's hard to stay loyal to those who stand by. As they fall to their knees. And do nothing as you die.
For the only thing that pulls you back from the grave. Is your nature to defy. And you'll go to any extremes for the ideals you live by.
Principles that keep you from going blind. and settling beneath a corrupted flag. That those closest to you believe is a lie. Forcing you to come face to face with a truth you can't deny.
A realization that breaks the heart. But forces you to rise. That those you love were available to buy. And the only way to save...
