takes it in

And the knife was plunged into me
and i began to bleed
Tears fell from my eyes
and
flooded my whole body
i couldn't scream nor cry;
for the shock was too great
and my mind was
blank

I reached one hand forward,
calling for you as the other
held
the wound; my love
you didn't answer,
but watched, turning the knife
in your hand

Your face was cleared,  
your eyes without emotion
and I sunk to
my knees, weakness overtaking
me
