Poet Introduction
I write whatever I feel like.
THE MOSS UPON THE BARK II: CREDENCE
Emergence, in clamorous ensemble
Shadowed earth bolsters the horizon
Portrait of a life laid bare for all to see
Credence of a fact, in hushed breath
Stained the epitaph
It was me, peering past the causeway
What was, is no longer free
Somewhere in the beckoning night
There is a spite that lingers
I seek it
The sun sets and torches ablaze
A muddled tide in discord, clipping their wings
Eating of the self, paranoia
As travesty heats the blaze
Forcing of a thought once kept locked tight

THE MOSS UPON THE BARK I: ECHOES
Hatred clung to my youth
Malignant lips askew
Your care would never soothe
False smile you thought was true
Never could ease the pain
A rose would fail to heal
Gripped tight for hidden chain
My flesh this blade will feel
Obsidian embrace
Human romance from ash
Pestilence left no trace
Sunlight like palish flash
Stolen shroud of the creek
A lure into the dark
Pinprick of quiet shriek
The moss upon the bark
With the sore wind
Given torn grin
With the tired soul

TRESS OF THE WILLOW TREE
Menacing is the coil of man
Whispers fill the ears of pariahs
Toiling with weathered hands
When the fields are looking drier
Held fast to the upbringing
Grand collapse of the skies
Singing of the death of Spring
The stirring of the flies
Held the notion of what's to come
Desire made them vulnerable
Retired hour, traces undone
Might be waiting for the exodus
Conference of the parting ways
A jest made of the revelation
When one could breathe an ember
Faces became ghosts from oblivion

In February I will return
With a withered rose, phantosmia
To leave you breathless
Idyllic was your emptiness
From which I am magnetized
Like shadows cast upon the snow
Remember me, say my name
That which is picturesque
Can never be undone
Follow me into the trees
Strip the loathe away
Poison me with your stare
Clasped in my hands, mercuric
To blacken the sills of your mind
In February I will return
With a thousand lies, serpentine
To whisper my intent
Cold is the sorrow of...
