The Evolution of Us (Love)
You're getting so close,
You're really freaking me out,
Have me thinking about,
Marriage and kids,
You're more than the average chick,
My family don't say "who is this",
Nothing feels so true like this,
They say you're first real.....,
Still afraid to acknowledge this,
Just saying if I was a college,
You'll be full-ride scholarship,
Sometimes my heart tries to holler the truth,
The other day a chick touched me,

Coexist?
Can we coexist?
The sinful side,
And the gentle man,
Is this really in God’s plan?
To create a flawed man,
Blessed with great gifts,
With karma,
In his life,
Having an empty hand,
Fucking grateful,
Lacking survival’s remorse,
Wasn’t talent but God’s torch,
That led my course,
Up into I become a corpse,
I be conscious of the light,
He shows forth,
Guess I’m not that bad,
He still lights my way,
Even though at times,
I’m terrible at,
Wearing the best Christian hat, ...

Rise Up!
Briefing: We all remember falling....but do you remembering bouncing back from it all? You have to....because you're still HERE!
Survived death like 5 times,
Been shot like six,
Got the luck of 7,
And I'd live as reckless as it gets,
Thanks to the 8,
I'm staying alive,
Complete circle,
I'm praying 9,
Times than I did before,
Now I'm living life without tip toe,
Walking flat footed,
Cross the floor,
My girl looking at me like,
She adore,
Desiring more,
Ring finger still on snore,
...

Environmental Value
Briefing: Environment sometimes shapes us more than we know.
Came from a humble living,
Never born with anything given,
So when love reflects free gifts,
I didn’t know how to receive the given,
Not my fault I was broke,
No investment in self,
Values unfelt,
I was born valuable,
And didn’t even know it,
The pain,
The struggles,
I hated them,
But they helped me to know this,
Pain was part of my challenge to be great,
Struggles wasn’t unusual on the road to gain more,
No one told me...

Donald Trump,
You’re a president,
For all to see,
At the end of the poem,
I don’t need nobody,
To follow me,
America stop the panic,
You’re not South Africa,
They got it really drastic,
Sat in my college course last semester,
A South African native, said stop your crying,
The South African president made it legal for random people,
To randomly walk in your house,
I got family still over there in the slums,
And I have to worry because they...

Responsibility escaping me,
Is it due to my father,
Not being there for me?
Has it subconsciously affected me?
Heavily?
Is that the reason I never cared to learn,
How to tie a tie,
26 year old man with a pre-tie,
Treating responsibilities like apartheid,
Too much pride to cry,
Running from being a man,
But yelling “I love I”,
Selfish intention,
When will he be a man,
Because his child is missing,
The precious love,
That only a father be...
Is it due to my father,
Not being there for me?

A Christmas Gift
It has been fifteen years,
Eleven months,
And twenty four days,
Since I’ve seen anything that resembles my father,
The closest that I’ve ever gotten to seeing him,
Was a picture,
He was holding me,
Smiling with me in his arms,

Brought him joy,
He seemed truly happy.
