A Recovering Love Addict
Im done with love
I'm kicking the habit
All that sentimental bullshit
You can have it
Dont want your affection
To get me high
Don't need more reasons
For me to cry
The euphoria was fleeting
Never lasted that long
Just an addict hooked
My will wasnt strong
Fiending for your presence
When you weren't around
Cloud hopping is great
Until you crash down
Trapped in a cycle
Of highs and withdrawals
Giving my dignity away
Without a seconds...

Funeral
As I looked upon him lying in a coffin
There was a peace and tranquility
That you don't see that often
People gathered draped in black
Struggling to accept
Hes never coming back
Enough tears being shed to fill an ocean
As I noticed my tears
I got the notion
How selfish they are to feel this way
Its not about you
This is his big day
His final reward, a life sentence complete
For all that he's paid
Its his receipt
A fitting end to the chaos of living
To wish for him back ...

The killing choice
Today I want to kill a man
But i need to formulate a plan
Of how to carry out the act
Its the part of the equation that I lack
I could slit his wrists and let him bleed out slow
Release all his worries in a crimson flow
Or maybe get it over quick and be done
Leave all his regrets at the end of a gun
Can rope him up and watch him hang
Breath seeping from his body along with his pain
The top of a building I can toss him down
Let him reflect on his failures before hitting the...

Ill take the blame
Ready to do the time
For a crime that isn't mine
Ill be fine
Ive spent many years confined
In a prison of my design
In my mind
The bleakest place youll find
The warden is most unkind
The verdict signed
Play out my failures then rewind
Want me to plead innocent I decline
Suffering is divine
Savor it like fine wine
To this sentence I resign
Pearls before swine
Wanna save me stop trying
You don't care so stop lying
No more crying
You're free as a bird so start flying

Knows the only validation you need is the achievement of your goals no matter how big or small they may be.
Understands your scars are not a sign of weakness but rather a testament of your resilience.
Has not turned your back or given up on love even when love has turned its back and given up on you.
Still dares to dream even after having nightmares.
Works hard to better your life and the lives of those you care about.
Realizes true beauty is in the way you treat yourself and those around...

Sitting here as I wait
Not ready to accept my fate
Despair is raining down
No umbrella just the sound
Of silence...so loud its deafening

Not unspoken
I feel different today as i crack open my eyes
The first thought on my mind isn't my demise
The sun is shining and I can hear the birds
Somehow theyre a little louder than all of these words
In my head. I still hate myself but a little bit less
Im curious to see what today brings i guess
Theres a small piece of hope I feel in my heart
Im still not happy but at least its a start
Its her. Shes found a way to get inside
And give me strength to look at all the things I hide
Watching her navigate with grace is...

A mile wide and an inch deep
A kaleidoscope refracting upon the panonrama
Causing immediate catastrophic deterioration
Of the optic sensory while creating rays of gamma
Intensifying and stupefying to a climax
Leading to temporary discomfort and irritation
Culminating with involuntary squinting attacks
