Fading Footprints
I said it was done but only then it just begun.
I tried, no lie,
And I still wana reveal the man inside,
But this time around I messed up big time.
I never wanted you being a victim of a bullet,
But there I was...standing behind the gun targeting your
heart,
The same finger I used to point you out as my woman,
It got hooked on the trigger waiting for your soul to
drop a tear so I could pull it,
All of that was not intentional,
And I know you know that.
Looking at your eyes,
That face, that pain,
I never imagined myself hurting...
I tried, no lie,

In this new world we living in,
These untrusted grounds of untraceable guilt,
I cant trust niggas,
I cant let them get around you,
So let me mark you babe,
I know I might not be expensive but because I know
your worth,
Let me give you something that will let you know I'm
with you...for you,

I cant trust any other girl,
Some may imitate what you do so I could get confused,
so I could mistake you for them,
And I cant let that happen,

Good Guy Done Bad
Clouding his senses with scattered thoughts and
confusion,
His heart buried below the surface of all sadness,
He wants to give up,
but like a man, he holds on,
With hope that one day she'll see his worth.
She never calls him "boo",
But she has a problem with him when other girls do,
With her materialistic self, she underestimates him
because he's too sweet,
He never picks fights, never argues,
Just loves her unconditionally,
But she's used to bad guys so she treats him like all the
others,
He always wants to take her...

Good Girl Done Bad
Drowning herself in depression caused by a flood of
many emotions at once.
She wants to let go,
She cries, she can't walk away,
It's best she leaves, but love holds her back,
The guy doesn't see, he's having fun,
He never calls, but has a problem with her taking other
calls,
He never says she's beautiful,
But has a problem when niggas compliment her,
They hardly meet, he's always busy,
She wants to come see him, but he's only free when
sleeping,
She calls him saying she's ready for sex,
He comes for a shag,

Black And White Are Not Colours
White grapes and red grapes
Black stones and white pearls
Brown carpets and white ceilings
Dark souls and white fossils,
It's all the same
Because racism does not exist
Two men of the same qualifications
Seeking for the same job
The only difference is the racial application
To Malcolm there is no vacancy,
But Matthew is going for an interview next week
Malcolm understands
Because racism does not exist
Soil-toned skins are considered as problem makers
Cameras zooming their heads once their black feet step
in stores...

Coz the earthly soil has covered your ears,
But I know your soul still hears me,

I just wanna let you know that you wasnt alone the night
you died,
When I heard the window break,
And rough foot steps,
I heard you run into my room to check on me,
calling my name and not see me
But I was hiding scared in the closet...shivering
I was peeping through the keyhole
When they held you and threw you down on the floor

Amazingly Mazed
Surprising, truly shocking,
By the current in your heart,
mine got tazed in space,
Beyond shades,
Where happiness was raised,
And with so much peace,
I swear this is based on grace
I'm truly surprisingly amazed
Aint it amazing how mazed we are?
Our emotions tie a knot
with our words forming an undisputed pattern of poetry
and art
Our minds Tango on paper,
Leaving footprints that were dipped in ink,
Writing the dopest paragraph of our lives,
No space, no commas
If happiness was a crime,
We'd be sentenced for...

Nameless Happiness
I'd call it something better,
It aint better than someone else's,
But what does it matter?
It's perfect together
It's far from a bore
It accompanies my soul
I never ask for more,
Im bound to stay, she plays for keep,
I stand by her side,
Daily,
The only time I see myself go down is by her feet,
On my knees
We dont look forward to being forever,

We Met But Never Did
When we meet it's like we aint never met before
Before meeting,
it was like I'd never meet someone like you
We've met before
But it's like we never did
Coz every time we do is like the first time
And that first smile I made before
Is the same smile I still make
Like the first smile that a dad makes
When his first child says Dad for the first time

Morning chats, night phone calls,
It all looked so real coming from you boo,
That sweetness, that touch, when you call me "babe"
I swore I found myself an angel at heart,
Little did I know that you was everything I dreamt of that

Intrusive Attractions
Like the summer sun that knows it burns
with strong rays upon earthly nature
but sees no badness in what it does
coz it never gets to feel the painful heat it penetrates on
your skin,
so are the people who take advantage of your harmless
soul,
they burn you with their dark fury,
they implale your heart
and paint your politeness with their murk
and you dont notice coz they got masks on
and they masquerade to be this bunch of jasmines
blooming to give life to your existence
whereas they take your powers
then give you lame advices on how to...
