Wise Word's of Worry
My Grandfather always told me that there was no time for worrying,
He would say to me,
‘Darling, life’s too short to squander on over thinking’,
‘Live with greatness, rather than think of it’.
I could never understand what he expected a five year old to get from this,
Until the day came where I grew up,
An insignificant chess piece to a playing board splattered with dread,
And so I began to worry.
I worried for my final year of exams,
I worried about moving out,
Passing that interview,
Paying the bills,
Surviving the first date,...

You, giving me your caring love and empathy.
And once I wake to face the day,
Get ready and step outside into the Lord’s playing ground,
A gust of wind may hit me,
And instead of hugging my coat closer around me or pushing the air away,
I let it pound into...
