Ode To Aretha Franklin
Respect
A word which defines a woman’s creed at best
Separating our femininity from the rest
The bearer, the fruit carrier
The forgiver, the nine months deliverer
The stress reliever
The spiritual trinity believer
No matter if our skirts are too short too high
A wounded Dove still flies when her heart cries
Strong minded
For the women who have lost their way, the tides will ultimately bind
You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman
With whip cream on top for the licky...

Patiently waiting in a state of serene
Hi you doing today
As I type, my mind tends to run away
Are you ready for my inner dreams
My passion, my thoughts, the Tomcat who gets my Kitty cream
One word, two words, the stream of inner thoughts beautifully rolls
Sentences, poems, plummeting feelings begin to take its toll
I do not know how written sentiments console
As words near the end, hopefully they blanket someone’s inner soul
You submerge your vision, sweet lines by saucy lines
My beliefs to intoxicate without...

Question I must ask, were you American born
If not
Then X marks the spot
Voices crying, marches to hear
Congress turning a political deafening ear
As a Nurse, I meet all nationalities, all races
Worrisome looks upon so many faces
Living the American dream
Eight years ago, this issue was unforeseen
New rules and new game
Nothing ever stays the same
Old players must now apply
I have a job, family, we’re living the American pie
Go back to where? To do what? Voices of so many immigrant...

Time
Snow falling, warmth of shelter sought
Landing on the mountaintop of far distance thoughts
Why must one sparkle in time, and for others, not
Stories of the past long forgot
Such a grand illusion we call life
In all its madness, glory, its daily strife
Rest only comes when eyes are permanently closed
Eyes open, greeted by systematic stinging blows
Sinking, yet swimming against the tidal wave
My heart, mind, body and soul, I have earthy paved
In life, our existence to be here has no choice
Yet, we must all mount and ride that pale...

Troubled Waters
Raging within the essence of life
Tsunami caught, typhoon strife
Peace be still
Sipping from the bitter cup of its lover’s fill
Wants, Needs, Hurt I bleed
Standing tall
Mirror Mirror on the wall
Scorpion words, erected blocks falls
Blind ripples troubled water calls
Scorned by truth
Mentality coveted, surrendered, and now reduced
Emotional veil has been lifted
Ocean currents angrily has been shifted
Tidal waves of souls washed up, and now has drifted
Waterfalls given, streams of dreams sailing away
No...

Cowboy Boots
Nothing more heart stopping than a man standing in his shiny cowboy boots
For a woman like me what a hollering hoot
Lasso my heart, it makes me soft, begging to siphon the elixir from the fruit of your towering tree
Mmm ...while sinking into the pleasure of my carnal needs
Boot Scootin Boogie
Jeans hugging his groin, line dancing, fanning my face for a twirl of his hard woggie
And if the boots have a point on them…have mercy on me
My eyes do not see past my knees
Umm… what a gifted stallion to ride and to behold
I’m sorry, if I am...

Rain on Reminisce
As two releases collide while sipping
Dipping, sinking, Karma interlocking, gripping
Butterfly Net sealed captured for infinity bliss
Rain showers now on such a beautiful reminisce
Sun come back out and kiss my cheek once again with silent bliss

I Was Invited To Dinner
I was invited to dinner given
by
Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, and Nelson Mandela
Author K (Novelist) “Thank you all for inviting me to sit at your table and enjoy this ceremonial dinner. I am honored to be in the presence of the past. Hopefully, it will sharpen my mind for the future.”
Malcolm X (Minister) “Sitting at the table doesn’t make you a diner, unless you eat some of what’s on that plate. Being here in America doesn’t make you an American. Being born here in America doesn’t make you an...
