I was invited to dinner given

Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, and Nelson Mandela
Author K (Novelist) “Thank you all for inviting me to sit at your table and enjoy this ceremonial dinner. I am honored to be in the presence of the past. Hopefully, it will sharpen my mind for the future.”
Malcolm X (Minister) “Sitting at the table doesn’t make you a diner, unless you eat some of what’s on that plate. Being here in America doesn’t make you an American. Being born here in America doesn’t make you an American.”
Author K (Novelist) “I have given unto society my political viewpoints, my hard labor, and have looked down only to see empty hands.”
Harriet Tubman (Abolitionist) “I looked at my hands to see if I was the same person. There was such a glory over everything. The sun came up like gold through the trees, and I felt like I was in heaven.”
Author K (Novelist) “What happen to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for my African American people. It was promised to all in 1776 by the writers of the Declaration of Independence, but in the future, I believe we, as, African Americans will fall short of its glory.”

But when you have to get transportation home, you are denied an equal accommodation. Our existence was for the white man’s comfort and well-being; we had to accept being deprived of just being human.”

Nelson Mandela (Former President of South Africa) “As I have said, the first thing is to be honest with yourself. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself... Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, but humility.”
Author K (Novelist) “In the present day, Black males seem to be an absent presence in their children lives, mothers are out in the workforce to provide for the household, and no one seem to uphold the legacy of two parents in the household. The future unity of the black man and the black woman is at a crisis. How could we overcome our adversities, in addition, how do we learn to trust and believe in each other when ones’ own enemy is within our camp, black on black crime and extinction is common on a daily basis.”
Rosa Parks (Activist) “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.”
Malcolm X (Minister) “In all our deeds, the proper value and respect for time determines success or failure.”
Harriet Tubman (Abolitionist) Twasn’t me, ‘twas the Lord! I always told Him, ‘I trust to you. I don’t know where to go or what to do, but I expect You to lead me,’ an’ He always did.

I believe in treating people right, but I’m not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn’t know how to return the treatment.”

In closing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. could you pray over this feast our eyes will come to see, our ears will come to hear, and our hearts will come to feel.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (Minister) “I am coming to feel that the people of ill will have used time much more effectively than the people of goodwill. We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people. We must come to see that human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability. It comes through the tireless efforts and persistent work of men willing to be co-workers with God, and without this hard work time itself becomes an ally of the forces of social stagnation. We must use time creatively, and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right. Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy and transform our pending national elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood. Now is the time to lift our national policy from the quicksand of racial injustice to the solid rock of human dignity.”

Yes this story of a dinner table filled with those who dedicated their lives to better humanity and equality. Very correct and true in this following statement...
Malcolm X (Minister) “I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don’t believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn’t want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I’m not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn’t know how to return the treatment.”
Seems of late brotherhood and sisterhood in America comes only in the worse of times...Natural disasters, 911, some examples...
We all want to talk our beliefs but refuse to listen to others...we've lost the ability to listen, walk in another man's moccasins, see past a person's color instead of seeing in their hearts we all bleed red, we cross our arms to express our prejudices instead of opening our arms to embrace one another's uniqueness...

Those poor people. Stolen from their beautifully coloured & exotic lands, shackled on ships for days to find themselves on grey ports of Liverpool et all. Did you write you visiting UK? Take a day to visit Liverpool docks and view the museum dedicated to slave trade. Acknowledgement of this Nation's greatest shame. You will be moved beyond words.
