Days Like These
Days like these
When I'm given time to think
I can never see past
The scenes behind the glass
I saw you there
I thought none could compare
Mutuality was not felt
Because you let her reach for your belt
I guess I shouldn't be surprised
I've been given every turn around and lie
But it still isn't so great
To only watch and wait
I'm used to the side lines though
And it's okay if you never know
How much I really
Enjoyed your company
And it's okay to let me be
It's okay to leave me under the tree
It's okay...

Lead Me On
On a scale of one to ten
Torn between now and then
You pull me down
And force it with sound
But I never wanted this
I could always hide the hits
You never took it seriously
I'm only now figuring out the mystery
You build me up higher than the clouds
But keep a hole dug for me in the ground
You tell me everything I want to hear
But you never even came near

Never If
If I can get through tomorrow
If I can get through now
If I can get through tonight
If I can get to a light
If you wouldn't stay so cold
If you wouldn't stay so sold
If you wouldn't stay too long
If you wouldn't tell me I was wrong
Maybe it could all be okay
Maybe it could all fade away
Maybe it could all slow down
Maybe it could never have been buried in the ground
If we can get through now
If we can get through forever
If I don't let you down
If I could never say never
If I can get through now
If I can get through tonight
If I can get to a light
If you wouldn't stay so cold

Going back to Wasteland
I'm nothing more than the sweat on your hands
Going back to Wasteland
I'm nothing more than sand
Going to stay this time
Wallow in my own slime
Going to stay this time
Line after line after line
I'm done with thinking
That something was ever missing
I'm done with thinking
That I'd never be sinking
Going back to wasteland
Little bag in my hand

I will never be here agian

Heart Logic
Brain: Hey, the're pretty hot
But better not
That'll all just end
In the worst of ways, "let's be friends"
Heart: But you two like the same things
And they're from a dream
They make you feel so amazing and great
I don't think this can wait
Brain: No, stop, don't do it
What are you going to be left with
When the flames flicker
You'll just wither
Heart: Aw come on
Don't listen to that, they won't be a lead on
In fact if you go now
They won't turn you back any how
Days Later
Brain: Told you...
But better not
That'll all just end

Something Strange
We wouldn't have met
If I didn't accept
If you had not questioned
None of this would have began
It wasn't in my plan
To meet such a man
That would take my heart
And not tear it apart
I've been with a few
But none as wonderful as you
You make my heart race
And make my mind lose place
Something about you
Sends my heart through
My chest
Because you're better than the best
I think you've stolen my heart
I just hate being apart
It's something weird and strange
But I never want it to change

You're Beautiful
Blackened eyes
And a hollow face
Tears like ice
Heart like a mace
Words are quiet
Soul is dead
Stopped fighting it
After hits to the head
You're fragile
And breaking fast
You're moves aren't as agile
And you don't think you'll last
I see you
Every week
Hiding the truth
Of just how weak
You're scared
And alone
You think no one's there
But you're not on your own
You feel so terrified
You try to hide your face

To see through

Your Drowning Pain
Water falls from the skies
Like the water fell from your eyes
But the rain doesn't drown me
Unlike your tears that surrounded me
I can sit in my house
Or in my car to wait rain out
But what pours from your eyes
Far out darkens any skies
When your tears fall
They fill my throat making a wall
I can't breath through it
When you get your emotions in a fit
Umbrellas can hide the rain
But they can't fend off your pain
With every tear I see
I know it's closer to killing me

Your wings never grew
Did they?
You've never known what to do
Until it was too late
Your heart never loved
Did it?
You've always been shoved
And pushed under all of it
You've never had a friend
Have you?
To stick with you to the end
No one to be your glue
You've never been sinking
Have you?
Lost in melodic thinking
Wondering if anything was true

For The Shame
Because you can't do it for yourself
And it hurts you to have to admit
Do it for something else
Something more profound in the mix
I did it for the wandering
They did it all for the lost
The reasons crept up sauntering
Trapped in our minds under the frost
Your reason wanders without question
To it you only fall a slave
It borders and slings on obsession
