If you are weak
You are an easy prey
For others to bully
If you are ignorant
You are an easy target
For manipulation
If you are poor
You are an instrument
For the rich to get richer
If you are successful
You are a thorn in the eyes
Of envious people

With your sweetness for too long
I can't resist you
I am drench and wrap
In your delicious sweetness
Entangled in you

Growing Stronger
Twenty six years
And counting
That's how long
We are together
Time flies so fast
That the years seem
To fade away quickly
We've grown together
Through the years
Through the bitterness
And sweetness of life
Through its highs and lows
Through its ups and downs
You and I - We had it all
Life did not spare us
From its vagaries
Its hands dealt us
A harder blow
Than what others
Have experienced
But we weren't knocked down
We came out stronger
From every blow ...

God
Thank you
For this life
For giving me
Everything I need
This life I live today
Is enough, I am content
I may not have all of my wants
But I have all my needs in life met
My heart is full of gratitude to you
You always answer my call when I'm lost
Your light is always there to guide me
When I have to face the darkness
I won't be where I am now
Without you through the years
I owe you so much
I have nothing
Just my faith

I'm cramming
I keep looking at the time
It's now a quarter after eleven p.m
My twenty four hour window
Is almost over
I'm writing without any draft
My mind seems to work faster
When I'm racing with time
An old habit from my university days
It works for me this way
When I'm writing without inspiration
Lately my mind has freeze
And this NaPo has thawed the frost
That has blocked the thoughts from flowing free
Now myriads of thoughts are going on in my mind
Making me cram as I try to come up

YEAR 2021
I cannot forget Year 2021
It was the hardest year for us
It gave us the most difficult challenge of our life
Our health were at stake
The year was a period of hospitalization, surgery and therapy for me and my husband
It drained us financially and physically
Covid 19 was the hardest to deal with
It came in October when we were about to go home to the province
After recovering from my surgery
The whole process was traumatic
I lost some pounds from taking care of my husband in the hospital

I've been writing for an hour now
Trying to come up with a poem to post
But nothing came out from my mulling and musing
So I'll just write whatever flows
Truth be told, my mind is filled with NaPo
Even when I'm praying

[NaPoWriMo 2022] Windy Day
Colorful petals
Greeted my eyes today
On my way to work
Flowers were dancing
In the softly blowing wind
On a windy day
Hues of pink, red, white
And purple amid green leaves
Arresting my sight
Red roses in bloom
White Vanda orchids hanging
Bobbing in the air
I took a long glance
At the lovely scenery
Before I walked on
The scene was a balm
That lifted my moodiness
And refreshed my mind

Tired
I did not not feel good today
I feel so sleepy as I write this
But I need to post before midnight
After 4 days of fasting
And six days into NaPo
I'm feeling the strain already
Not even a week has passed
Since Ramadhan and NaPo started
Yet I'm already struggling
I feel like quitting
The bad signal is adding to my dilemma
I hope my will to continue will prevail
Over the coming days and weeks
I know I will get by
I just need to push it slowly
Till I finish these two challenges
I did not not feel good today
