Lonely Endeavours
Nature chokes down progress in silence,
sputtering phantom oaths
left frothing
where plastisized lips eject silicone drool,
her tattered tongue tasting
fomented fumes
circling the corpse of a failed endeavor.
Her somber hands
sodder circuit board bruises
lividly leaking, seething and seeping
where misguided intentions
bore the smog of dire consequence,
yet, subconsciously, she'd always known
those beautiful children
would consume their own mother.....

Moving On
The autumn foliage whispered pleas
upon a swift and gelid breeze
as raindrops fall from salty eyes
where cherished mem'ries traumatize.
His footsteps lined the sodden ground
where love had died bereft a sound
and there she sat in idle shock
reliving moments 'pon the clock.
No warning bells, nor nuanced clue
just loving hearts left black and blue,
a journey down temptation's lane
as eyes embibe the windowpain.
The grass was greener, let it grow,
she gave him better then he knows,
a home, a hearth, a hand to...

Grasping Spring
Porotic bones of fallen seasons
pierce winter's ash,
welcoming Aurora's spreading warmth.
Her marmalades mixing marigold
as reflections dance
upon rivers of fractured glass,
their toes enflaming indigos
where brackish blackness
once consumed the purest blues.
Algid hands reach forth,
skeletal,
feeding the emerald skin
of another verdant spring
still slightly out of reach
and yet, they know
better days
are just around the bend.....

Ghosted
Glass bottles decorate
dingy tiles
like periods inked
in lonely books
where pages haunt
the hollow voids
between love
and life and death.
The mirror taunts,
restless reflections
reminiscing
as tempted fingers
trace contours
of another place in time.
Those windows there,
where lilacs wrote
their fuchsia memoirs
on ageless photographs,
entrusted to savor
the dusty flavors
of a long forgotton home.
Digesting saucepans
of scorched regret,
now aimless smoke, ...

A Haunting of Sorts
I took a solemn knee
to your stinging memory
and placed my tarnished ring
upon the gelid finger
of every deadened dream
that chance left dancing
beneath a lifetime of rain
and there, I saw your azure eyes....
An aging want inviting
ghosts of tender vows
left lingering, listless
where the best intentions
battle the voice of time
as the hourglass
dictates every foul word
and there, I heard your whispers....
Those azure eyes
are haunting ashen...

Azure Blooms (Villanelle)
And azure bloomed in zephyr skies
As sunlight cut through gloomy haze
While storms remove their bleak disguise
Aurora claimed her cherished prize

Begrudging Truce
Autumn pens poems
on livid leaves,
passing fallen notes
to remnant whispers
of Summer sonnets
Stark contrasts chat
like old friends
tugging the reigns
of an aging grudge.
Verdant foliage tempts
while gelid winds
chastise foolhardy lips.
Their grim conversation
follows the vacant footsteps
of last season's tourist,
jostling trashy memoirs
where callous passersbys
once decorated
barren park benches.
Its here she litters
the dregs of hope
as her tired bones

Discarding the Past
Nostalgia's quite alive
even though you've died,
I found it sitting there
embroidering memories,
watching indifferent movers
purge those photgraphs
from history's stoic walls.
It decorates the dressers
as flowered pots
embrace ten cent trash bags,
burdened with the weight
of every fading year.
Junk here, rubbish there,
bag it, tie it, toss the loss,
expose those tender bricks
and morter newfound permanence....
Because rest assured,
it won't be over
until ev'ry barren room
sings...
even though you've died,

Exiled Memoirs
I scorched sage
to murder memoirs.
Eclectic filiments
of phantom thought
left flickering
like malfunctioned lightbulbs
in the graying snow
of a sleepless three a.m.
I knelt on fallen rose petals
and etched their effigies,
defacing scrap metal mortuaries
where wounded essence
mourns tears, not yet dried.
Contentment wanders,
lost,
lamenting the way
empty cardboard boxes
begin to look like home.....

Premonition's Wake
The visions rip below the gleam
of twilight tinted eyes.
Their memoirs gleaned from realms of dream
where knowledge mortifies.
An inky murk of ages old
invades your reeling mind,
bereft the glow Aurora holds
and nature redefined.
Remembrance dons an aftershock
that shivers down the spine.
A backwards spiral ‘pon the clock
as echoes redesign.
A semblance wrought in ebon hue,
defies the flesh of man,
like angels made a rendezvous
with creatures of the damned.

Sunflower Sunsets ( Quatern Refrain)
As vibrant petals brush the sky
their hues enchant the passersby.
The yellows bursting forth from baize
where nature seeds her lush bouquets.
The sunlight gifts its warm reply
as vibrant petals brush the sky,
an artist etching cosmic rays
where clouds revoke their hideaways
And somewhere close, the children laugh,
while eve'ning signs an autograph.
As vibrant petals brush the sky

Anxious Appitites
Saliva stained ligatures
choke nerve stunted fingertips,
The hangnail noose constricts,
self-inflicted vitriol
still stinging 'mid my fracious grasp.
Strangled shards of apprehension
grind between time-worn teeth,
remnants ripped and spit
from wasted worries
where ageless trauma
discards its rusted reasons.
They plummet perfectly
though vapid voids,
finding precious calm
where comfort clutches
murdered cuticles....
