POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My name is Starjune. I have been writing since the age of 15. I am turning 70 in September and i have decided to get the poems I have written out of their hiding place. I would like a little encouragement and comments from those who read my poems.
Can’t say These Words.
I heard these words in a song one day.
“Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear”.
How many of us can’t sing or say these words in all honesty?
Too many...
Some children were abandoned, abused physically, mentally, emotionally, sexually etc.
Even after the forgiving process these words cannot be said with sincerity of heart.
Forgiving does not mean a forgetting of the wrongs done.
Sown from the seeds of hatred which were sprewed upon the innocent
Forgiving leads one to a passageway which allows one to move forward without bitterness. ...

Watch Me Close
At some distant moment if you chance to look my way and notice a tear stained cheek,
Don’t ask me to turn around or even call my name,

For if you watch me close enough you’ll see the pattern has long been set.
So, go look at a rainbow,
Dare to dream in a cloud.
Remember that happiness is often hidden,
Close enough to be forbidden,
Clutching at the heart.
So if you watch me close enough and notice a tear stained cheek,
Just know that I am trying to remember a lost friend,
For the...

Goes Back into Being
His face was the face of an ordinary man,
Yet when looked upon, no desire was held for him,
So be it, rather, that we would choose his ways,
A way so simple, yet, to some too complex.
A light within him went outward, healing
the maimed, the blind, the deaf, evil spirit possessed,
All the while the agony and pain of darkness
Ventured forth to pierce His Being.
When it is done, He forgives,
Yet, only those who believe can see
the reminiscence of His Beauty .,
And with visage marred by endless suffering,
He turns around and...
