POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
The sands of time now weigh against you Pounding your weathered backs Impending dread is cast upon you to swallow whole your faith The boundaries of your mortality are the only remorse you'll be shown
Earth Mother
Life pulses throughout Her land,
Covered by rich harvest and fertile beauty -
Time as deep as ocean and as infinite as sand rippling harmony and
complexity; Her duty
Her life and wisdom rides the breeze,
As her mercy and strength evaporates.
Man's creation reigns; devastation, disease
From invention of the wheel; we've industrialized our fates.
War and meaningless death - what extinction it creates.
Her rivers of life are running dry
As She watches Her children lead Her to die.
She feels the gentle wind of Her own failing breath,
And from Her...

Dancing Remains
Starving cats shriek to a full, hopeless moon
The thick air drips with decay and rank ruin
Feral dogs scream, adding pain to the chorus
Extending an invite to those gone before us
Fred Astaire and Miss Rogers they clearly are not
As they stumble and scrabble up through Hadean rot
Their eyes wormy sockets, foul-toothed, dangling jaws
Macabre click-click-clicking sounds a hellish applause
Dry bones clack-clacking, grotesque, face to face,
Partner holds partner in hideous embrace
These skeletal dancers reek a rancid perfume
Unsure and undead,...

Void
Void, canceled, simply annulled.
Endlessly aching, unconsoled.
Life without you, cause without reason.
Touch without sense, time without season.
I face life now facing a cancerous sore,
A sordid parasite that eats at my core.
All that makes me whole, all I hold deep within,
Leaving me lifeless, or at least not livin'.
A shallow face, anguished and marred.
An empty space, scaled and scarred.
Sweetly abiding to a cynical charade.
Secretly hiding 'hind a fictitious facade.
Still, lost within this heart of glass,
This fragile and yet...

So many thoughts
have hemorrhaged within the lowest caverns
of my constanly active mind,
and so many words
attempted to rush toard my lips
to somehow cure the disease
which forever remained unexplained.
I attempted to look into thecrystalball
but for the longest time I have been stubborn and blind
for what appeared to be a future set in stone
was a mere creationspawwned by the continuous cycle
viewed through a kaleidoscope
of unanswered pieces of my condemning past.
I attempt to writemy way out of this malicious mess
but sometimes these...
