POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
New Day
Quiet I sit.
Silently I pray.
Wishing for a new day.
My circle of friends
Is a circle of lies
They don’t see me.
They see who they want me to be
My story told by others
Unlived by me.
Forced through my error
I must live this way
Waiting for a new day.
But, no one sees
No-one even believes
In my story.
Can I really say
I wanted it this way
But Here I am alone.
Quiet I sit
Silently I pray
Knowing there is no day.
Silently I pray.
Wishing for a new day.
My circle of friends
Is a circle of lies
They don’t see me.
They see who they want me to be
My story told by others
Unlived by me.
Forced through my error
I must live this way
Waiting for a new day.
But, no one sees
No-one even believes
In my story.
Can I really say
I wanted it this way
But Here I am alone.
Quiet I sit
Silently I pray
Knowing there is no day.

Harbour at Night
Another crisp night in the south arrives.
The frosted earth glows silky white and clean.
Shuddering out clouds to engage the sky unseen
I look out from Buddhas rest and feel alive.
The placid hills reflect the night in milky hue.
The Laden Camel sits and waits for day.
The Lazy Cross wraps itself around the bay.
The Crab looks over and winks at you.
I smile.

Bent Light
Bent light breaks
Sending leaves twittering over
ground as 2yr. Olds.
Rolls over itself
and is gone

Rolls over itself
and is gone

Take one Syllable
Work it
Words drip
Arched back
Then flow
Body trembled
Stain sheet
Numb mind

Arched back
Then flow
Body trembled
Stain sheet
Numb mind

Warm and inert I lie motionless
Swaddled in acrid smoke
Head lolls to and fro
Eyes flicker
Mind lost
must engage limbs
pungent odour sedates me
Warm and inert I die motionless

Head lolls to and fro
Eyes flicker
Mind lost
must engage limbs
pungent odour sedates me
Warm and inert I die motionless

On the Road
ON THE ROAD
Waking for the ever time today
Crinkling radio nudges my ear
Some beat up old jazz hound.. bops.
Morning drips in my eye
I feel it flush in my head
That old beat is back again
Dogs are liberal; I repose
Falling out of my head i
fumble tip stumble downstairs
With a grain of jack in my hand
Go! Go! Go!
Waking for the ever time today
Crinkling radio nudges my ear
Some beat up old jazz hound.. bops.
Morning drips in my eye
I feel it flush in my head
That old beat is back again
Dogs are liberal; I repose
Falling out of my head i
fumble tip stumble downstairs
With a grain of jack in my hand
Go! Go! Go!
