His heart was ready for a new beginning
Deep down he knew the turmoil brewing inside her heart
Complications arose during their relations  from pains and regrets
Did she truly love him or just using him like a piece of meat ?

Only giving sixty percent of his mind,body ,and soul
Knowing all too well those feelings she had would never leave
With the lessons learned he knew she would take off in the blink of an eye
Being somebody's second choice will never happen again

Searching for answers all the while drowning in the sea of the abyss

Gazing out into the great beyond with no hope in sight
Pondering all things in her life with much sacrifice
Wanting to love again but stuck in the past

Will a new love save her or has that moment passed?
How can she love another when she still aches for him too
Trying hard to figure out the situation she was thrust into

Longing to live free and  easy with no cares in this world
Seems very logical but very hard to do
How can she move on with a new love in her life
If she still loves, cares for another in plain sight

Hanging on by a thread ,wanting a life wishing she was dead
She cannot let go of a love that will never be
Still trying to figure things out with a hurtful plea
Praying to God on a broken knee please take away this misery
Trying to love again but locked deep in the past

That consumes my reality
Engrossed at the moment
Pondering all things in between

Will I ever get relief from
This burden upon my heart
Because I surely do not want to depart

Green with envy attached to the tree
Living life as it may be
Coloration of skin likens anew

Waiting to fall on the fresh morning dew
Attaining the growth of in full expansion to reflect
Exuding my colors in season of exuberant possibilities

As the cold air begins to stir under the forest floor
The leaf is ready to fall below to this solid ground
For it is the cycle of God's expanding plan in His universe
