Look
I look into the abyss
it stares back at me laughing...
nothing to see
but an empty soul
and the ashes of burnt out dreams
I look into myself
and see the same abyss
endless darkness
nothing exists
except a vast empty void
of nothingness
I look past
the dying color of my eyes
into my mind...
my thoughts rewind
to a time when it was easier to live this life
I look through
my mind to see my pain
my own disdain
the scars remain
an open reminder dashed with salt from day to day
when I look...

Darkened
razors dance across aching skin
a memory within a dream
metallic light shimmers
in a darkened space
crimson stains upon satin sheets
life pools within my hand
black pain flows
from a darkened place
dreams blur into the reality of a moment
mischievous shadows taunt
illumination of a hallucination
upon a darkened heart
closed eyes see with sullen urgency
how quickly a moment can spin out of control
a broken hearted promise
remains intact
a memory within a dream

Trapped Within My Mind
pardon me while I have a nervous breakdown
she says to herself
something has to break this pressure
I’ve simply had enough
as a single tears creeps from her eye
a smirk of madness graces her lips
she feels the insanity creeping in
as it tickles her fingertips
maybe I should try to write
it often seems to helps
but she knows that on this night
she will drag herself through hell
her words like razors slash and slice
leaving open wounds to bleed
cancer spills out everywhere
as the words she writes they read
of...

Autumn
autumn is upon us
I feel a whispered chill
as the leaves turn to rust
time seems to stand still
when the autumnal winds blow
the fragile world slowly dies
and as the dead litter the ground
upon natures murderous guise
a hush falls within the air
death like silence ensues
the crypt of autumns nature
as life and death infuse
the shivering aura of dusk
drapes across a barren land
the frozen rays of the sun
too intense to withstand
as darkness falls upon the earth
the sun surrenders to the night
a shiver...

A Mournful Rain
A mournful rain fills the sky
matching the sadness I feel inside
dark and grey the day weighs down
covering the ground without a sound
as I look for the sun the rain stings my eyes
the tears from the sky and my own collide
melding together a saturation of woe
spilling together on the ground below
the chill in the air ripples my skin
cuts to the bone, I shudder within
the cold that I feel on my hands and my face
equals the cold that I feel from my pain
the visions I see when I look outside
a world in grey shades of black and...

Fire and Tears
midday
and I still feel the same way
what the hell am I supposed to do
when once again the pain feels brand new
when it doesn't feel like any time has passed
and I am still so fucking depressed
anger has taken hold of me
which in the past is not something that would be
but after all of this time
and now a fire???
raging
and burning
what the FUCK am I doing?
I rage
and I cry
I claw at my mind
I try to hold it in
and I fucking rage again

Impact!
Pavement cracked
Flightless now,
wings torn to shreds
“Instant Karma”,
Lennon said
But I’m not shining on
Broken halo turned to stone
Lifeless glare and I’m alone
While He sits,
laughing on His throne
The grace of Heaven, gone
An angel,
fallen,
tied in knots
Cast out by Him
and left to rot
For all of time ‘neath granite plot
His symphony plays on
Salt-less tears drift to the ground
I am now lost, though once was found
Stripped of honor,
peace
and crowned

A Life of Lies
the force of death
draws on every breath
in a gasp of air
death becomes clear
life revolves around dying
weak of heart trying
feeble attempt to justify
eternity and the afterlife
the promised land in sight
redemption through lies
a servant to the word
a slave to the absurd
death does not discriminate
disease will not insinuate
illusions will not prolong your life
you will die believing the lie
turning a blind eye
will only bind your mind
in the end we all must die
then discover what we find
draws on every breath

The WAR(ld)
the world takes a shift
with the slam of a fist
a scowl graces the faces of those in power
a pissing contest ensues
and the world is held prisoner
a challenge set forth
to stay to the course
see to the end
to fight
and defend
with no rhyme or reason
we’re thrown in the deep end
drown
swim
or sink
but don’t over think
with your blinders intact
they force feed you the facts
believe all the lies
of why we must fight
...

Hold your tongue, we’re not alone”,
She said, and grabbed my arm.
“These people can’t be trusted, Dear.
They mean to do us harm.”
She led me down the corridor,
Into her tiny room.
With frightened eyes, her voice cracked,
“They’re coming for me soon.”
“They sneak in while I’m sleeping, Love.
They hover ’round my bed.
I don’t know their intentions,
But I’m sure they wish me dead!”

And whispered quietly,

Eternity
another soul
for God's collection
another sheep
no longer roams
golden smiles of recollection
for she has finally
made it home
the sky
was a little darker today
the moon
did not shine as bright
somehow so many must find a way
to bring forth tomorrows sunlight
a soul set free
from the bounds of pain
finally able to soar above
with widened eyes
she stands up straight
awash in a sea of love
heavy hearts
and tear drenched eyes
the loss felt so very deep
a family that must say goodbye...
