POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
I've seen the
I've seen the monster that follows you
the territorial foreigner
interlaced and aged
he hovers my senses by breath and depth
I see his tendrils curling tighter when I draw nearer
I see him ensuring recognition
I smell him permeating his cologne commanding and arresting my attention
and establishing borders
I see him soldiering back and forth
I see him when the color leaves your eyes
I see him in muted sound
I see him in static
I see him
I hate him
he hates me
because I see him
the territorial foreigner
interlaced and aged
he hovers my senses by breath and depth
I see his tendrils curling tighter when I draw nearer
I see him ensuring recognition
I smell him permeating his cologne commanding and arresting my attention
and establishing borders
I see him soldiering back and forth
I see him when the color leaves your eyes
I see him in muted sound
I see him in static
I see him
I hate him
he hates me
because I see him

Burst Me
Sink my toes
Soak these clothes
watch as the flood grows
now rain
rain with conviction
ink drops of contradiction
trickling down my salty skin
Dripping off my paled chin
waiting now
pugnacious thunder
build up
insatiable hunger
feel the temperature dropping under
Be alive
Pulse in my chest
I welcome you
Be my guest
Burst me
I'm thirsty
Soak these clothes
watch as the flood grows
now rain
rain with conviction
ink drops of contradiction
trickling down my salty skin
Dripping off my paled chin
waiting now
pugnacious thunder
build up
insatiable hunger
feel the temperature dropping under
Be alive
Pulse in my chest
I welcome you
Be my guest
Burst me
I'm thirsty

The Friendship
The Friendship
every year by the ocean pier
into the view of blue austere
friends climb out from their trees
with a guardrail grip they begin a trip
and sail the friendship out to sea
they set sail without fail
and swear to prevail
to not repeat their history
but when the boat is shaken
the risk is taken
succumbing to what may be
upon sinking they start to thinking
friends are not meant for the sea
so they dock and walk ...
every year by the ocean pier
into the view of blue austere
friends climb out from their trees
with a guardrail grip they begin a trip
and sail the friendship out to sea
they set sail without fail
and swear to prevail
to not repeat their history
but when the boat is shaken
the risk is taken
succumbing to what may be
upon sinking they start to thinking
friends are not meant for the sea
so they dock and walk ...
