I don't leave a signature at
The end of my poems.

I don't really give a shit
If you take from the idea or
Steal the work completely.
I'd simply say
"Good job. Now you can keep
up the good work.
If you really can."

This is a small chair I sit on.
If I'm not careful and lean back too
Far I could fall backwards and
Crack my skull.

Surprisingly, after all these nights
Of getting drunk as shit I haven't
Even come close to that threat.
         The concrete that lays
Itself behind me is likely tired
Of staring at this back having to
Hear these keys break over the music
That rises from the stereo.
I'm almost positive it is well annoyed
Watching this hand lift the glass for
One more drink and
Type type type - pause - type type......
