Why don't I hate you?

Why don't I kill you?
Why do I keep coming back for more?

You don't have a heart for me to break,
You don't have feelings to be hurt,
You wouldn't care if I lied to you,
You don't care if I come back for more.

I pretend all is well,
I smile when I'm broken inside.
I can't let the world see what you do to me...

Some say the world will end in fire,      
Some say in ice.      
From what I've tasted of desire,      
I hold with those who favour fire.      
But if it had to perish twice,      
I think I know enough of hate      
To say that for destruction ice      
Is also great,
