POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
So average you couldn't pick me from a crowd. Extra-ordinary indeed.
The sighs, lies and tears of us
I sighed
The first time
I loved how
You snuggled against me
When it was cold
I cried
The first time
You proposed to me
And I couldn't believe
You wanted me
I lied
The first time
When had a fight
I said I hated you
And it hurt you
I sighed
Again
Not knowing it was
The last time
You'd ever hear it
I cried
Again
Not knowing it was
The last time
You'd wipe my tears away
I lied
Again
Not knowing it was
The last words
I'd ever say to you
I sigh...
The first time
I loved how
You snuggled against me
When it was cold
I cried
The first time
You proposed to me
And I couldn't believe
You wanted me
I lied
The first time
When had a fight
I said I hated you
And it hurt you
I sighed
Again
Not knowing it was
The last time
You'd ever hear it
I cried
Again
Not knowing it was
The last time
You'd wipe my tears away
I lied
Again
Not knowing it was
The last words
I'd ever say to you
I sigh...

A Plea for Help
In the midst of pain,
I bleed myself dry.
Do not shed a tear.
I don't want you to cry.
It is quite strange,
That I had to do this.
To simply be heard.
Show you something's amiss.
But if I have to suffer,
For the lives of many,
I would do it twice over,
For not a single penny.
I did this not for fortune.
I did this not for fame.
I do not even wish,
You to remember my name.
I have one request.
Just one, no more.
I want you to help,
The fallen on the floor.
You'll see them all over.
Just...
I bleed myself dry.
Do not shed a tear.
I don't want you to cry.
It is quite strange,
That I had to do this.

Too late now
Tainted by society.
Claimed notoriety.
Wanting to go.
Nothing to stow.
Nothing to be.
No one to see.
Child unloved.
Feelings shoved.
Drowning in fear.
Grasping what's dear.
Frantic flails.
Broken wails.
Tears fall.
Death's call.
Forever alone.
Somebody's clone.
Deed's done.
Death's won.
Celebrate in joy.
No longer life's toy.
You've finally won.
With the help of a gun.
Look back.
Stop in your track.
They grasp.
They clasp.
They shiver.
They quiver.
They mourn.
They fawn....

Masquerade of the Worst Kind
Some people I've known,
I'll never understand.
I stop and I think,
Maybe that's what they planned.
Many of their actions,
Conflict with their words.
Claim to be gliding low,
While flying high with the birds.
They claim to be losers,
In life's great contest,
But upon further inspection,
They've better than the rest.
I look in their eyes,
To find something true.
But they've bleached the crime scene,
And left nil a clue.
I guess there's no point,
Trying to figure you out.
Just don't expect my help,...
I'll never understand.
I stop and I think,
Maybe that's what they planned.
Many of their actions,
Conflict with their words.
Claim to be gliding low,
While flying high with the birds.

If They Knew
My kindness to all,
They do mistake.
They see it as weakness,
They see it as fake.
If they knew, they would fear.
In their boots they would quake.
If they knew my true power,
And what I can take.
But I will not tell them,
For their own sake.
They have enough nightmares,
To fear when they wake.
They do mistake.
They see it as weakness,
They see it as fake.
If they knew, they would fear.
In their boots they would quake.
If they knew my true power,
And what I can take.
But I will not tell them,
For their own sake.
They have enough nightmares,
To fear when they wake.

Shattered Soul
He arrived in the dead of night,
Relieved I'd given up the fight.
The twinkle in my eye, he did not see.
I was just as relieved as he.
I stood, awed in his great grace,
As he stepped forwards and took his place.
I looked into his hollow eyes of coal,
Then he began to steal my soul.
It was a relief he was content to give.
To a shattered soul, not wanting to live.
