POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
River, River
River, river
carry me
from higher hills
to plains I see
Flowing, fluid
fleeing stream
water, dancing
make me dream
Carry me
from horrors cruel
put me down
just where you pool
carry me
from higher hills
to plains I see
Flowing, fluid
fleeing stream
water, dancing
make me dream
Carry me
from horrors cruel
put me down
just where you pool

Hopeless
I broke my heart
and sold my soul
twisted dreams
to reach my goal
But now I know
it was in vain
I'll never be
the same again
I've lost my heart
to someone else
But I am by
the Devil held
and sold my soul
twisted dreams
to reach my goal
But now I know
it was in vain
I'll never be
the same again
I've lost my heart
to someone else
But I am by
the Devil held

Lost soldier
A dying soldier
down in a trench
calls for help one last time
to his friends.
His eyes are drowning
with memories of home
but the rain
is all he has known.
His lungs are burning
with the absence of air
and his friends want to be
anywhere but there.
His body went limp
he's gone from this hell
where his brothers still fight
quietly saying farewell.

Ancient Tomb
Far into the wild and west
Lies upon a mountaincrest
A tomb for ones who lived before
Silent source of tales and lore
An ancient hero and his wife
Unread tomes about their strife
How they fought and how they lost
And the price that it them cost
Parents, children, all did die
Of their forlorn ancient tribe
For the warlock that them beat
Fought again; his second feat
Murdered them and all they loved
Killed the tribe and after scoffed
Buried them into the west
(Displayed most to mock the rest)
Now the warlock is no more

A lonely soul
With long black hair
she hides her eyes
and hunches over far.
Mouthing words
she's often heard
to no one in particular.
The songs still stuck
inside her head
the lyrics still in place.
Though sadness is
not far behind;
she'll never win the race.
The words she's written
on her skin
now nothing more than scars.
Silvery
the tissue shines
it tells us of her wars.
she hides her eyes
and hunches over far.
Mouthing words
she's often heard
to no one in particular.
The songs still stuck

the lyrics still in place.
Though sadness is

The dragon
The dragon is sleeping
in its lair on the hill
while its victims are weeping
in the abyss of Hell.
The dragon's eyes closing
but the darkness of night
shelters dangers so vile
it is all out of sight.
The creatures are lurking,
stalking your life
with eyes in the shadows
watching your strife.
But the dragon is waking
and it stretches its wings
and those creatures watching
flee from their king.
in its lair on the hill
while its victims are weeping
in the abyss of Hell.
The dragon's eyes closing

shelters dangers so vile
it is all out of sight.
The creatures are lurking,

Death is here
Death is always present
in every breath I take,
polluted air I breathe
I die when I'm awake.
My sleep is ever blissful,
ignorance so pure,
brilliant and ablaze,
my sleep I can endure.
But then, when I'm awake
I die inside again,
"leave me alone", I beg
"leave me, for goodness sake."
in every breath I take,
polluted air I breathe
I die when I'm awake.
My sleep is ever blissful,
ignorance so pure,
brilliant and ablaze,
my sleep I can endure.
But then, when I'm awake
I die inside again,
"leave me alone", I beg
"leave me, for goodness sake."

Imagination
I've killed
so often
in my mind.
No
regrets
anywhere to find.
Always
dying
on the floor.
Blood
runs over
to the door.
Trickling
sticky
stain my skin.
In
my mind
I always win.
so often
in my mind.
No
regrets
anywhere to find.
Always
dying
on the floor.
Blood

Trickling
sticky
stain my skin.
In
my mind
I always win.

Silence
Silently speaking
saving the sound
away from my ears
it'll never be found.
Softly sighing
another day gone
time is a stranger
it doesn't take long.
Words are dying
in the air,
always gone
before anyone can
catch what was won.
Seeing lips move
not a sound to be heard
because numbness doesn't come
it needs to be earned.

Time
Killing time
But time's killing me
And when I stop ticking
Time will still be.
Always, forever
Time plays its part
Ticking away
From the very first start.
Time is immortal
Just like I'm not
Opposites in life
I'll get what I got.
Only still waiting
'Till time ticks away
I'm longing for sleep
What else can I say?
But time's killing me
And when I stop ticking
Time will still be.
Always, forever
Time plays its part
Ticking away
From the very first start.
Time is immortal
Just like I'm not
Opposites in life

Only still waiting
'Till time ticks away
I'm longing for sleep

Words
Hell is the place where the living don't tread
If that is the truth I must already be dead
For the pain searing through me is agony, real
And the whispers that haunt me say exactly what I feel
Like a dagger, stabbed, twisted, your words pierced my heart
I should've known better, I was a dead man from the start.
If that is the truth I must already be dead
For the pain searing through me is agony, real
And the whispers that haunt me say exactly what I feel
Like a dagger, stabbed, twisted, your words pierced my heart
I should've known better, I was a dead man from the start.

I miss you
I miss you
Goddammit I miss you
I wish I could tell you
But no words seem to describe what I feel
And you’re probably expecting something outstanding like poetry or prose, but I can’t
Not for you
Not anymore
Because every time I think of you I get a writer’s block
All I can do is want you
And miss you
And hate you
But hate myself more
I wish I could tell you
That I miss you
And that you’d be there to listen
But that won’t happen
Not anymore
