Growing up with love as a guiding light
I imagined a world of unity, a wondrous sight
Little did I know, human nature's hues ranges from light to dark
A journey I was not prepared to embark

The gift of heartbreak, imposed by malevolant individuals
Altough of meager affluence,
Made me question their morals

Utterly crushed but my faith unsinkable
Kept searching for "the one", unthinkable

Time passes and scars heal
By then, fine lines start to appear
