His Plans
I been losin' my sleep
Tryin' so hard to keep
Those dreams if I can
And it's all in God's hands
Where do I fit in His plans?
We're gonna see
But the tides keep growin' so tall
They make me feel so small
Like water could wash me away
And hell couldn't hurt much more
Than losing in this war
For all the ones that I love
So am I to be the hero?
Or am I nothing now?
When will I see?
My eyes revolve in my head
Thinkin' of what I said
Now I don't know what to say.
But I...

Where am I going?
We are each given a life
Yet we do not know how to use it
Some live well
Some live poorly
Some find happiness and fulfillment
Some find sadness and tragedy
As for me, I am lost
Like so many,
I don't know who I am
Or where I am going

I'm fallin' apart
See me resignin' from the action
'cause I don't wanna start
Another lose-lose transaction

If life was your partner
Life forces itself upon you,
Dictates the terms of your existence,
Subjects you to all forms of suffering,
And then requires you to engage in a lifetime of efforts to keep it from leaving.
Even so, you are expected to accept it for what it is and learn to love it nonetheless.

I don't know
I don't know what to say.
Sure I'm feelin' so low.
The clouds are turnin' me grey
And I don't know where to go.
I been holdin' on tight
To the red dragon's tail
With every muscle I might
For I was fated to fail.
I've been cast to the earth.
Where I dwell in the dirt.
Everything is for real.
But all I feel is the hurt.
Left behind by the wind
My mind was flyin' too high
The sun was burnin' my wings
Rejected by the sky
So I settle for soil
Where I'm doin' my time ...

My cards are the table
Whether a joker or the king
I'm on my knees holdin' a ring
GIRL.
But I'm broken
Hell, I don't wanna hide

Forever--longer if you can

The Long Story Short
This story's too long
And I long for the end.
I know I've done wrong
And God knows I have sinned.
So I might not get through
In His Glorious Gate.
But I'll accept what I get
Even a fiery fate.
'Cause I'm done with it all
And you can take it away.
I didn't know what to do
I never knew what to say.
I'm just a pawn in the game
And I don't want to play.
This story's too long
Far too long.
What more can I say?

My Father is Forever
I found my peace in hell,
Done in by dragon’s breath.
Onto my knees I fell,
Into a soulless death.
My father is forever,
Through death and desolation.
For his crying rivers,
A rock of consolation.
Walking in his shadow,
My shoulders stand up straighter.
A path to doing better,
Makes good sooner or later.
The bearing of my burden,
Like talons in my torso,
Gives reason to my rising,
A purpose even more so.
Done in by dragon’s breath.
