SELF POEM

Introvert
Introvert alone
trapped in mind
try's to find
this place called home.
As he opens up
it crashes
spirals back down
trampled beneath.
One voice carried
across the sea
of his own thoughts
"you are enough."
Moving forward
once could not
feel comfortable
in his own skin.
He opens up once more
a bloom of color
bursts forth from
his heart and mind.
No longer abused
by vicious thought
he reaches out
for the first time.
It was wonderful
being able to trust..
allowing...

My hope
How I wish for a day
That will never come
Yet still I hope
Call me what you will
But if you ever loved
Then our hope is alive.
I couldn't move on
Though I tried
Over and over again
All for nought
She is all I see
Do I show her?
Our word are wind
The actions we make
Define ourselves
I've made a life
For the both of us
Please come home.
If you made the choice
To give our love a chance
I would give you all of me
These feelings havent changed.

A daydream
As he lay upon
a pool of ashes
Stillness around
from within his
mind, the echoes
of memories holding
dear to his heart,
while the reality
molds around
a pool of ashes,
clouds disperse
slowly as the color
of life returns
to his otherwise
lifeless body
annotated as
a thought arises
his mind was free
but the body is
trapped in reality,
he raises from
a pool of ashes ...

trying to find,
The best time when
I should have thought
Take the time now
Control your feelings
and let it flow
let it go.
Move on to a place
you feel most
uncomfortable.
Truly the "best time"
is never the case
take charge of the moment
change your life
without being afraid
of what you may think
of yourself.

Mind Wanders
My mind wanders
from place to place
searching for something
that leaves no trace.
My face shows all
while my lips stay sealed
its hard to hide these feelings
when this body betrays me.
My heart aches
for better days
not worrying if
these debts are paid.
My eyes see past delusion
color blind
there is no conclusion.
My body fights
battles everyday
just to stand
alone, move forward.

named change
each step taken
leaves me breathless

Keep pushing forward
it won't move at first
the longer pressure is applied
the more you slide
before a thought
feet etch forward
grinning genuinely
now we're moving
across a plain
existing once again
this is when I'd fall
get back up
dust yourself off

chips away at feelings

Feelings struck the core of my soul.
Wager your life for another.
Change comes quick.
Leaving the old you at the door.
I feel you
the phrase

means so much to me.
That's what I heard
one sleepless night.
She was so far away
yet I could feel her there.
Alone and afraid.
All of the pain
The suffering
flooded my being.
Every night she was beaten
he would force her to drink.
