Off Your Local Heroin Dealer
it's not fun anymore
just another itch
throw the switch
flush the vein
feel a twitch
then it all goes
it all goes far away
needles in my skin
pokes through the sane
never feeling, no pain
dreams sold in vain
two hundred pounds
four men
three months
one needle
six feet
numbers and numbers
no names, just statistics
nothing is static
everything is evolving
everything is falling
everything is falling apart
standing proud
on another corner
selling...
just another itch

In Your Absence
You're here beside me
Singing to my soul
You're holding my hand
As I continue the path without you
You're here within me
Telling me to live, to smile
You tell me to feel
To love and not hold back
You're there wherever I may wander
As I like to do
And, again, I hear you say
I am never lost, you are in my heart
You're here right now
As I cry and try to write to you
You're telling me to be proud
As you are of me
You're everywhere now
My sun, my moon, my rain
You're...

All the ghosts say goodnight
The demons come out to play
Turn out the lights
Wait for what the voices have to say
Hit the tip of insanity
Sinking faster each day
Losing sight of reality
Spinning words and no cards left to play
What if it's not what we overcome
It's only how we become numb?
All the hopes and dreams
Bound in pages meant like a prayer
Penance and apologies
To one who was never there
Wretched smiles and empty condolences
Cracked frames imprison the memories
Of long forgotten...

The Blood of the Covenant
The eyes only bring distraction
Pondering in the dark
The grief turns into procrastination
Left wandering in the heart
Mind is heavy and filling fast
Apologize, yet again, as you spill onto the floor
How selfish is love when inconvenienced
Just blank stares from across the table, anymore
In earnest I plead for light
Empty words from dead books
Flip the switch and light the furnace
Starving from loss and the years it took
To say goobye
Fractured realities bleed into desperation

Pain is just another byproduct
The fire will ignore

I might seem a little off
It's only a mental disposition
Expell it with a cough

Embrace yet another imaginary friend
