POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Rat in a Cage
Rat in a cage.
Lost for an age.
Stood still on a stage,
With no crowd to engage.
A silent rampage.
My comparative gauge.
Be it ink on this page,
Or my deep brewing rage.
Lost for an age.
Stood still on a stage,
With no crowd to engage.
A silent rampage.
My comparative gauge.
Be it ink on this page,
Or my deep brewing rage.

The Road
This journey is unforgiving.
The road has twists and bends.
Although it's not painless living,
Hold on until the end.
The road turns quick with threat,
As if to throw you far,
With clear intent to forget,
The person that you are.
The path relents its aid,
To give you strength to find,
The way that you have strayed,
And the end to what's behind.
A new path lays its way.
A smoother route to guide,
That shows you life's display,
When you learn to enjoy the ride.
The road has twists and bends.
Although it's not painless living,
Hold on until the end.
The road turns quick with threat,
As if to throw you far,
With clear intent to forget,
The person that you are.
The path relents its aid,
To give you strength to find,
The way that you have strayed,
And the end to what's behind.
A new path lays its way.
A smoother route to guide,
That shows you life's display,
When you learn to enjoy the ride.

The Hangman
Rope below my chin,
Too tight to take air in.
I think back to my sins,
And feel ashamed to see my grin.
With regret for who I've been,
And the sight to shed my skin,
A new life would begin,
But the hangman has his win.
Too tight to take air in.
I think back to my sins,
And feel ashamed to see my grin.
With regret for who I've been,
And the sight to shed my skin,
A new life would begin,
But the hangman has his win.

Fad Happy
Cool me up, warm me down.
In here we stay so-so.
A mask for me, a mask for you.
Bathed in this light's low glow.
Not too bad, not too good.
A steady root or route instead?
One man's real, another man's fake.
A back-up plan for your eggshell head.
Think of you, think for me.
My persona hangs outside my skin.
Turn it off, try it on.
This blinding blanket is so 'in'.
I'll seem so done, I'll seem so fun.
My ego beats to the drum of fads.
What's that you've got? Is it...

The Key and Lock
Our love as friends,
Has begun to mend.
We confused with want to soon comprehend.
Our needs recede,
Before hearts mislead.
A more simple path for us to proceed.
A deeper root,
Past these shallow persuits,
Seems to hold a stem from which yeilds a fruit.
I have found a way,
Past this disarray,
To allow an embrace from these blissful days.
Has begun to mend.
We confused with want to soon comprehend.
Our needs recede,
Before hearts mislead.
A more simple path for us to proceed.
A deeper root,
Past these shallow persuits,
Seems to hold a stem from which yeilds a fruit.
I have found a way,
Past this disarray,
To allow an embrace from these blissful days.

To and Fro From Friends To Foes
Friends turned to foes,
My heart's grown use to know,
And so I'm to and fro,
Between my worries and my woes.
My heart's grown use to know,
And so I'm to and fro,
Between my worries and my woes.

The Lock and Key
Our love as friends,
Has come to an end,
Now the rules have broken where they began to bend.
Our secret lust,
From want to must,
Needs not a thought of it's just.
The lock and key,
They fit to me,
And entered true to unlock us free.
As we hold tight,
It feels too right,
To not embrace these blissful nights.
Has come to an end,
Now the rules have broken where they began to bend.
Our secret lust,
From want to must,
Needs not a thought of it's just.
The lock and key,
They fit to me,
And entered true to unlock us free.
As we hold tight,
It feels too right,
To not embrace these blissful nights.

A day for me
A day for me;
The remedy,
For tougher times that tested me.
A therapy,
Of energy.
A key to clear reality.
This day for me,
Has left me free,
Until time tramples its memory.
Unrest in me,
Can rest in peace.
Bliss bathed me in this day for me.
A day for me;
An amnesty,
From the heavy hands of gravity.
An ecstacy,
In clarity,
Not short in sheer totality.
This day for me,
From deities,
Has left me calm to live at ease.
My sanity, ...
The remedy,
For tougher times that tested me.
A therapy,

A key to clear reality.

The City Never Sleeps
The city never sleeps,
A concrete wonder under constant thunder from the blunder of drunken creeps,
That wonder its concrete streets.
Where the gods and demons meet.
Where the caveman clubs a beat.
Where night after night they fight insight to rewrite and then repeat,
Whilst their balance tries to find its feet,
And so the city never sleeps.

The Last Chief of the Tribe
The last chief of the tribe.
The last free man.
To be one with nature,
In the one last clan.
It must be such a thing,
To sing in the pride,
To not know that you're free,
But feel it inside.
The last free man.
To be one with nature,
In the one last clan.
It must be such a thing,
To sing in the pride,
To not know that you're free,
But feel it inside.

Anxiety's Quiet Malignancy
Blood to my fist,
Constricts through my wrist,
Gets drawn swiftly back,
To race and attack,
To reach to my brain,
To make the insane,
Thoughts that I feel,
That engulf me and steal,
My true inner peace,
From me to decrease,
Control of my life,
So I reach for the knife,
To bleed this chaos,
For my freedom I've lost,
From this cage of my fear,
That has made life unclear,
But I put down the blade,
'Cos although I'm afraid,
I trust that in time,
I'll see where I've climbed,
And look to the...

My Momentum
I've lost my momentum,
From moments that spent some.
My mental incentive,
Now too tense for direction.
What next must I become,
To climb blind though the undone,
When the fibres fall free,
Through the knot of faux factum.
I watched when it begun,
To seclude me my sanctum.
Left cold, black and white,
My once-brightened spectrum.
My last ultimatum,
Now to know when to next run,
And ready dead legs,
To begin my momentum.
From moments that spent some.
My mental incentive,
Now too tense for direction.
What next must I become,
To climb blind though the undone,
When the fibres fall free,
Through the knot of faux factum.
I watched when it begun,
To seclude me my sanctum.
Left cold, black and white,
My once-brightened spectrum.
My last ultimatum,
Now to know when to next run,
And ready dead legs,
To begin my momentum.
