POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I ain't no academic though I've been writing for two score with the typical ups and downs. My work seeks intimacy and passion especially as it pertains to the dark and sometimes ugly side of the street. Thankfully beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Nudes
I've gathered the pieces and returned
To the cocoa darkness where dreams
Dance like fireflies in your eyes.
The calm of the evening
Shadow where shed skin and bone dust
Scatter off with the passing thunder
To the horizon where the ships
Of the dead fall from earth's edge.
The two of us a tad
Worse for wear stand alone.
The storm quieting in weary whispers
Though blood pumps furiously,
Tom tom drums quickening
Like New York hip hop
Beating through the streets.
I touch your hand your fingers
Calloused and dry but flannel
Warm...

Dance like fireflies in your eyes.
The calm of the evening
Shadow where shed skin and bone dust
Scatter off with the passing thunder
To the horizon where the ships
Of the dead fall from earth's edge.
The two of us a tad
Worse for wear stand alone.
The storm quieting in weary whispers
Though blood pumps furiously,
Tom tom drums quickening
Like New York hip hop
Beating through the streets.
I touch your hand your fingers
Calloused and dry but flannel
