The cool waves lap at her bare feet.
The steady breeze blows,
The light dress around her legs.
She stares at the waves crashing,
Against the shore.
She thinks about a life,
That never happened.
Where was the white Knight,
On his gallant steed?
Where was her prince charming,
To live, happily ever after?
These things were not meant to be.
Her world turned upside down,
Early in her life.
Married to an abusive man,

Memories
Memories
I think about, you, while I'm driving,
Memories that make me smile.
Your beautiful face, keeps me sane,
On these dark and lonely miles.
I think about a time not long ago,
When I woke and watched you sleep.
I began to cry uncontrollably,
Because you gave me, your heart, to keep.
It doesn't matter where I go,
You are always in my heart.
No matter how far I travel,
Our love will never be apart.
The first time that I met you,
I stared into your eyes.
The first time, I kissed, those sweet lips, ...

My demon
My demon
I feel it creeping up on me,
This loss of my sanity.
Trapped inside my shattered mind,
Gone to seek, but do not find.
I travel down the darkened hall,
My back against a wooden wall.
I feel as though I'm being chased,
I turn to see that, which I'm faced.
But in the dark I cannot see,
This evil demon shadowing me.
My hair begins to stand on end,
I prepare, for self to fend.
I feel a breathing in the gloom,
Fetid, putrid, stench of doom.
I hear the beating of a heart,
But within, not apart.

Love is forever
Let me lay here next to you,
My heart, my life, my soul.
We have lived the fullest lives,
To the next, again be whole.
I remember meeting you,
Many years ago.
When you looked into my eyes,
You stole my heart, I know.
We danced as though we were alone,
Staring into each other's eyes.
I would profess my love to you,

I just kissed you good morning.
We sat on the deck,
Having our morning coffee.
Why can't you feel me?

I met you for our first date,
I took you by the hand.
We danced until the morning sun,
Blocking out the world.
When we kiss for the first time,
I have butterflies inside.

Staring out at a starlit night,
The moon is big, full and bright.
I daydream of, holidays past,
And memories made, to forever, last.
We sit around the dining room table,
And listen to uncle begin a tall fable.
The smell of Turkey wafts in the room,
Knowing our dinner is coming so soon.
I watch as my grandma smiles at me,
Knowing there's nothing, like our family.
We all hold hands as someone says grace,
Seeing the peace on everyone's face.

It's a human thing
I don't care if you're Christian,
I don't care if you're Jewish,
I don't care if you're Muslim.
No one religion is correct,
It's called faith and belief.
It's great you all have something to believe,
But does it really need to start a war?
I don't care if you're Republican,
I don't care if you're Democrat,
I don't care if you're liberal.
No one group has it right.
Put them all together,
And make the best of them all.
Stop being a bunch of fucking ass hats,
And do the job we voted you in to do.
The government was set up...

Missing Christmas
Missing Christmas
The holidays are on us,
My mind starts to roam.
Thoughts are with our loved ones,
Miles away from home.
I won't be home again this year,
For Christmas or new years eve.
These wheels will be turning,
So another can take leave.
I'll be missing you my love,
But I'll call you on the phone.
Time spent far away,
Hurts me to the bone.
Missing Christmas morning,
Presents 'neath the tree.
Wrapped in your arms,
Is where I'd rather be.
Keep the blankets warm,
One more week...

I will find you
I stand upon the sandy beach,
And stare out at the sea.
My heart burdened with loss,
As my thoughts are with you.
I think about a girl I knew,
Who was so very shy.
The way your eye did sparkle,
And your wonderful, slight smile.
We'd wade into the moonlit surf,
And dance til morning sun.
The very taste of your sweet lips,
Filed me with desire.
Making love was more a dream,
