POEMS AND SHORT STORIES

Here I was again,
Going through something familiar,
something like deja vu,
almost like a routine,
but all that seem to change were the people.
How.. unfortunate I should say
but the truth is,
They couldn't handle a woman like me,
Maybe it was the varying degrees,
or the multifariousness in you.
But I gave nothing but Sincerity, Benevolence, & Intimacy.

A Way Back
He always found a way back in
I put up with the tantrums,
the pain he caused,
the betrayal,
the ignorance,
the backstabbing,
So what the fuck did he want from me ?
What more did I owe him ?
I protected him enough without a doubt.
This was the kind of love that made me psychotic.
He was like a drug
Something I couldn't quite shake
I didn't know why I felt so entitled to be there..
Maybe it was those nights of intimacy
Those nights he stood holding me all night
He gave me security
He felt like...

Trauma
Digging graves trying to find
the roots of the truth,
I know they say to keep
the skeleton hung in the closet
& let the dead rest but
Who wants to go on living through
trauma,
Innocence I should've had
the privilege to keep
Isn't it tragic how they act like
it never happened.
I stood standing over your casket
& no feelings came across
But every thought I seem to
have reminded me of how fucked
up you were & how fucked up your soul
will always be,
& unfortunately there are no...
