Enough?
Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am enough
But that’s getting harder
Who am I to tell myself I’m enough?
I can’t see myself in someone else’s eyes
I don’t know what they’re thinking
I’m nobody’s favorite friend
I haven’t been since elementary
I’m often times too quiet
Maybe too annoying at times
I’m too much and not enough at the same time
Make sense?
But that’s getting harder
Who am I to tell myself I’m enough?

I don't know why...
I don’t know why they say
You can’t love anyone
Unless you love yourself too
Hate
is all I really have for myself
But you,
I’d face my biggest fears for
Give you the last penny to my name
Walk with you to the very last bumpy, shit covered mile
No matter what you do
I’ll be there
Right behind you
Because I got your back
And I know you got mine
And if that isn’t love
Then I have no idea what is

Trust?
Trust
So complicated yet so simple
I have been betrayed so many times
I forgot how to trust
Then you came along
You were so protective
So warm
So safe
Never in a million years would I think you’d hurt me
The closest I have come to trusting someone in so long
Can you guess what happened next?
Like a glass ball being thrown on concrete
Shattered.
My safe place,
My warmth in the freezing cold,
My trust,
Gone.
Lost and never to be found again
So complicated yet so simple
