Masquerade
Your memory creeps in with the sun
Waking me to friendly numbness
Reaching the point where goodbye
Can’t hurt me anymore
I spend each morning barely breathing
Shaping into a perfect lie
Something that hides the truth
And comforts what remains
Put on a façade
Trade faces with another
Paint on a masquerade
Cover up anything real
Hoping to convince into
A heart unable to feel
Life bustles around me
Sirens and tires
Those who care don’t see
Smiles scream around me
People keep on living
While I fall towards...
Waking me to friendly numbness
Reaching the point where goodbye
Can’t hurt me anymore
I spend each morning barely breathing
Shaping into a perfect lie
Something that hides the truth
And comforts what remains
Put on a façade
Trade faces with another
Paint on a masquerade
Cover up anything real
Hoping to convince into
A heart unable to feel
Life bustles around me

Self Outgrown
The nights were long
And the stars shone bright
Tea is sweet and talk cheap
Fireflies and firelight
Growing up among the birds
Who could want for more?
How about we flip the map?
Find ourselves miles away
A new thrill, a new adventure
The only rule is don't look back
If you're going to fly
You've got to be prepared to fall.
Not sure when times changed
When my heart rearranged
I only know I don't belong
My soul is running free
Begging me to grap hold
Release myself to the unknown.
Like a maple growing strong...
And the stars shone bright
Tea is sweet and talk cheap
Fireflies and firelight
Growing up among the birds
Who could want for more?
How about we flip the map?
Find ourselves miles away

Lost Life
I have never before felt so alone.
This emptiness fills me
From deep within.
I could be in a sea of people
And no one would notice.
Time flies and people come
And then they go.
But I stay, I remain
Feeling lost and abandoned.
I shake the tendrils of my heart
Towards the remnants
Of all I have left
But at the last moment
They take a step forward
One step further from me.
And I fall to the ground
Left behind.
While every one else lives
While they celebrate every day
I stand still in the center
And watch the blurs...
This emptiness fills me
From deep within.
I could be in a sea of people
And no one would notice.
Time flies and people come
And then they go.
But I stay, I remain
Feeling lost and abandoned.
I shake the tendrils of my heart

Fairytale Wanted
What happened to the days
When I didn’t believe
In fairytales?
Now I find myself
Hopelessly wishing for one
To chance upon me.
I want a silver knight
Bearing on his tall white steed
To whisk me away.
I think I could find myself
Happily content with whisking
At least in this place.
I used to frown and sour
At happily ever afters
Now they litter my works.
I despised what I’ve become
A romantic searching
For an answer.
For a prince.
This isn’t who I always was
And indeed when I...

Oblivion
I feel like I'm suffocating.
I can't breath.
At first I thought it was the running,
But nowI can tell there's a difference.
My head is swirling with anxiety and anticipation.
My mouth is dry, nothing lives there anymore.
Every time I try to swallow my throat collapses inward
And my stomach leaps to my mouth, pushing it's way out.
I try to calm myself down, forcing air in as my body starts to fail, shutting itself down.
It's given up and it wants me to do the same.
But I won't.
I'm on the edge. ...
I can't breath.
At first I thought it was the running,
But nowI can tell there's a difference.
My head is swirling with anxiety and anticipation.

Little Lessons
When it comes down to the wire
you see what really matters and what doesn't.
When it seems like all else is failing
somehow you manage to pick back up the pieces,
fitting them better than before.
When someone you love more than life itself
leaves you to defend on your own you see what's important.
And what's not.
It makes the little things seem so insignifigant.
When something like that happens to you,
it changes the way you look at life.
Until then you'venever knownwhat pain felt like.
Or what it means to have...
you see what really matters and what doesn't.
When it seems like all else is failing
somehow you manage to pick back up the pieces,
fitting them better than before.
When someone you love more than life itself

Untouchable
I suppose I should thank you
Your lies finally pushed me
To leave this one-light town.
I’m moving on, moving up,
I’m moving out.
Don’t know where I’m going
Not sure how I’ll get there
But without your memory
To haunt every second
I know it’ll be like heaven.
I’m finally ready to jump,
Take a freefall into the unknown
Whatever it takes, I’m gone.
So I guess the pain was worth it
Now I’ll never stop long enough
To ever feel it again.
Your lies finally pushed me
To leave this one-light town.
I’m moving on, moving up,
I’m moving out.
Don’t know where I’m going
Not sure how I’ll get there
But without your memory

Now I’ll never stop long enough
To ever feel it again.

Replacement
Except maybe the one before
I’m the best you’ve ever had
And I can see the hunger in your eyes
You’re dying for a taste of poison,
A sweet love that kills.
Do you think you’ll get that from her?
It’s just a school boy crush
That was the rumor I heard
Straight from the lips of hell.
But I long ago learned you speak in lies
Nothing turned into something
And love burned to ashes
Before I could open my eyes.
Even through my blinded haze
I could see what everyone else knew
Too long I pretended, turned away
And...
