My Walls
The four walls I built round me
Stand high and tall as though they were
fortresses
At the centre of those walls
I built-
A comfortable home made purely of
stone and
come what may, I'll adjust to the
hurricanes and storms
which everly blows
to keep within it
a temperate weather
The four walls I built sometimes
cracks and crumbles
Upon the slightest alien touch.
Regardless, I pick up its pieces
to mend it back together
Each time- thicker
Each time- wider and higher
(One)
One wall made...

Thoughts from Afar
Raise up your thoughts above the sky --
Think far and away into the afterlife --
Let every sunrise motivate
Let every full moon inspire;
To think far and away into the afterlife

Let every sunrise motivate
Let every full moon inspire;
To think far and away into the afterlife

11 Lies
If you were to tell 1 lie about me - a flatter perhaps -
You'll most likely tell 10 to yourself --
11 -- their number grows together
Your honest sense goes with '11' forever
Reality shies away
when your conscience begins to sway
'White lie?'
I think not

Knowing
If life was to pause and
I alone to continue --
At the restart --
I'd predict accurately
All your next moves
I alone to continue --
At the restart --
I'd predict accurately
All your next moves

Cruel Kindness
He turned away from every kind word,
Then raised his brows to mock on it-
Rejecting all comforting opinions.
He kept a passive face to jokes told,
And ignored all other warmth that extends-
He couldn't afford an extra memory in his head.
He frowned every chance he got,
More so to gestures of true kindness-
Causing his knees to weaken beneath him.
He clenched his fist,
Then he gritted his teeth-
Every time he sees understand in their eyes--
Staining his heart with black lines of sorrow.

New Light/Insomnia
Can't sleep tonight..
Its the sun I now await,
I've decided it's insomnia;
The fiery dis-ease..
Seizing my comfort
And trapping my sleep..
So I step outside
With a small carpet in hand
To lay and look up to the stars above
(My companions for tonight)
Shining million miles away
Their twinkling light piercing through the darkness..
Till morning comes
And they too(like all else) fade away..
Giving way to a new and brighter wave of light..
The undeniably beautiful light
Of the morning sun

A Ramble On Superstition
First and foremost,
They cannot be totally explained.
That's why they are called 'super'-stitions right?
Like that one of broken ladders,
How it is mixed up with Black cats
And moving shadows,
Or how sparrows indicate
Where The Angel of death
Will visit next..
Or what they say about fish bite..
They just don't add up,
Yet there is an off-chance they do..
Cos they sometimes add up..
(sigh)
At this rate there is no stopping myself
turning into a superstitious man..
I sit and I wonder how little of...

Black Magic
Sitting hands clasped between their knees,
My fellow man
Prays to satan,
Throwing rocks and blowing it in hand,
hidden in the dark
Their true intentions never revealed.
They whisper in the air
And bury nails in the sand,
All these against their fellow man.
Some even cut themselves to be in a trance
Going so far to lend the powers of jinns
All these to have an edge over their fellow man..
But as GOD made black and white,
What is done in the dark,
Shall be brought to the light!

Failed Promises
Promises made, Promises to keep
Promises made, Some are too deep
I made a promise to a certain someone
That I'll be with her forever..
Life happened,
Now I wish I never met her
I promised myself I'll put off smoking
When Doc said I'd destroy my lungs,
Counting years from now: 14
But my lungs contract and hurt when I don't smoke
Smoke? not smoke?
I could swear they do the same damage
Promises made, Promises to keep
Promises made, Most are too deep
I promised my dad I'll land straight A's

Show me something serious
My deep brown eyes are curious
Resist your subtle lurching
Be free and be interesting
Your hair is blonde, untied
Your head hangs low, belied
I love your shy smile, its wry
Like so, I'd love to see you cry
"The first time we met, I thought you were pretty
When you said hi, your blue eyes absorbed me
You walked lightly, graciously
You were carefree, confidently
"I followed you around: I loved your company
You followed me around too: we were in perfect harmony
