The Pain of a Black Woman

For centuries the black woman has been demoralized
then defamed.
As well as watching her dignity being put to shame.

She observed over the years her children being scold and
sold.  
Then witnessed the killing of her daughters and sons as
they were hung.

She underwent much agony that burdened her soul.
       
Yet she displayed strength of gold that keeps her
mentally whole.
Even through years of being discredited, she has been
highly disgraced from others of  the female race.

A Portrait of a Nubian King

From the invisible fiber of hair on his head to the
microscopic pleat in his feet  
                      his body structure is extremely unique.      
His shoulder blades are well-built to
withstand heavy weight
so when you need him for anything
he will not hesitate.

The diverse color of his skin
is a reflection of his virtuous character that
shines from within.
For his eyes express passion in love
and his smile invites peace from above.

Her hairstyle emphasizes the attractiveness of her face
while the color emits a striking radiance of grace.
The uniqueness of her skin comes in different hues
whereas her sense of humor leaves people amused.

Her deep glaring eyes tell the story of her soul
as her smile shines brighter than gold.
The shape of her lips is prettier than the sun setting
over the night sea and her touch is as delicate as can be.
Her body structure is perfectly curvaceous for her size
and her hips compliment her adorable thighs.
