A Ceiling Full of Invisable Bats (Part 2 of 4)
Throwing back the moth bitten covers Charlie got slowly to his feet with a weary sigh that was echoed by the groaning of the warped floor boards.
"Mortimer have you seen my uniform?" Charlie questioned with his back turned to his unbalanced little friend as Mortimer leaned precariously over the edge of the dresser.
"Why yes Charles... infact it's in the drawer of the wardrobe, I pressed and cleaned it especially for you."Mortimer's good eye swiveled about the room drunkenly while the other settled on Charlie's back watching him cross the distance to the old...

The Morbid Insanity of Charlie The Milkman (Part 1 of 4)
Somewhere off in the distance a window shattered and then quickly faded away again into the nothingness.
Waking from a dreamless sleep Charlie's eyes snap open, he was sitting by his lonesome in the dark bedroom.
"HELLo Charles, Did yOu slEeeEep well?"
The sound makes him jump at first but then realizing it was only Mortimer a gangly limbed string puppet with a face that looked much like it had lost several rounds with the wrong end of a claw hammer and a mop of hair congeiled with dried blood, he became slightly...

Rose Tinted Glasses
Blossom petals floating by
Carless and free
Hasn't always been like this
There's been rains and snows
Blooms and falls
Many friends come and gone
Years long past have grown sweeter ya' know?
They say it's like wine that way...
Only gets better with age...
It's funny how that happens though...
One day you're an amature photographer
Shooting the scenes of yesterday's tomorrow
Then your looking back on the "good old days" wondering when those photos...

A Short Haiku For The Masses
The drones may escape.
The queen can not leave the hive...
Trapped; she is their slave!

Love For Life?
On the other side I can see him
Neither here nor there...
Perhaps somewhere in between...
Maybe even just... A dream?
My tears are his laughter
Pushing thoughts from my mind and into his own
He takes the stand
An audience of one, I am force to watch the show alone
With mirrored eyes I can see only but a reflection
...Not of me but rather something-- Or someone else...
Like premonitions of death the pictures are dark
But...

When The Butterflies Are Gone
The darkness gives way to butterflies and repulsion breaths life into statues of dead dogs...
These horrors must be kept.
Though stitched eyes would bring no release to these lost soldiers
A forest far away burns down and you scream my name
Crying all the while, the mother's child dies
Will I ever be free?
A shadow looms through the window and you reach to the outstretched hand
Will you take his word over the eyes in a painted room?
Faceless words...
These horrors must be kept.
Though stitched eyes would bring no release to these lost soldiers
A forest far away burns down and you scream my name
Crying all the while, the mother's child dies
Will I ever be free?

When It's Broken
If I told you it was broken? Would you want to fix it?
Would you pick up the pieces or break out the glue?
Would you throw it to the ground and say it wasn't possible?
What if I said it's always been broken but you seem to look beyond the cracks and the chips?
Would you still want it then?
What if it could not be fixed?
Would you try to?
Could you accept throwing it away?
What would you do if I said it is broken because it must be? ...

The Photo Album
It's gone...
Like an aged photo it sits there faded in the details, uncertain.
Where ever did it go?
Did it ever even happen?
When did a child's laughter ever become so faint?
A train whistle on the horizon...
Another grey photogragh
Where ever did the time go?
Those moments passing me by...
Lamps on the street through the car window on the way to an auntie's house...
Why are...

My Beautiful Love
It is soft
It isn't worth very much
Like a porcelain doll it is fragile-- so easily broken
It's value to me is more then my very soul
Like days gone by or fare wells unsaid I wish only to share our time together once more
To hold a piece of the Sun in my cool embrace and to ravish you for these desserts so sweetly deserved
Closer then one of my own we are a single part of two
Loosely flowing, moving, breathing
Now filled with brilliant light that dances under the stars
My beautiful love...

Time
TICK TOCK TOCK...
The seconds passing quicker
tick tock tock...
Slipping out of my grasp
TiCk TOCk ToCK...
A moment passes me by
tICk Tock TOcK...
Farther now it fades from veiw
Tick TOCK Tock...
Urgency bleeds relief
TIck ToCk TocK...
Taking those precious seconds away from me
Tick tock Tock...
Stolen now to leave me nothing
tick Tock tock...
Then darkness gives way to dawn...

Hiding In The Clouds
Watching from above, they say It sees it all
It sees me from the sky,its hiding in the clouds
My eyes may not see It but they say Its all around
I don't belive a word of it, they say I'll burn in hell
I tell you that It can't exist, isn't it plain to see??
You say I must have faith in something to believe
Its hiding up amongst the clouds but Its just not real to me...

Fire
hot, burning crackles of life light you up~
~your warm embrace soothes me~
~swaying like trees in the breeze, you entrance me~
~taking away any other feelings you fill me with your bright happiness~
~so sexual... so seductive... yet all mine to keep~
~barely here but completely alive~
~you whisper with the wind~
~whispering words I don't understand~
~so much feeling, so much unknown~
~you confuse me so~
~flowing, moving, breathing; you are alive~
