POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Swollen Eyelids
Let me give a glimpse
Of my mind
Satan in my casket
She wears a red dress
With a smile that blinds
The logic inside
I confide
A summer night
I was high
Should have said it then
But if I reminisce
It'll change to blood
This burns my sternum
Cupid's eyes glisten
I confide
I shot him
I stabbed him twice
He was already dead
Decayed by my touch
I admit
I need to give it a rest
Too young to love
Younger to trust
The hills have eyes ...
Of my mind
Satan in my casket
She wears a red dress
With a smile that blinds
The logic inside
I confide
A summer night
I was high
Should have said it then
But if I reminisce
It'll change to blood
This burns my sternum
Cupid's eyes glisten
I confide
I shot him
I stabbed him twice
He was already dead
Decayed by my touch
I admit
I need to give it a rest
Too young to love
Younger to trust
The hills have eyes ...

No door
No bed
Not my words
But a book on the shelf
Not right, but a clock
Leaned against the wall
Two bodies
Few words
Few said
Night out
Lights flickering
Something bleeds of blood
Not by choice
Survived
Still flames
scarred sternum
Trust
A gift, a curse
For better, certainly for worse
Time heals all
But wounds
No door
No bed
Not my words
But a book on the shelf
No bed
Not my words
But a book on the shelf
Not right, but a clock
Leaned against the wall
Two bodies
Few words

Blizzard
There's a blizzard drifting
Through the city
I'm holding onto a tree
Underneath the streetlight
Where I first saw you
And I know it's coincidental
That I'm stopped here
But I hope to catch even a slight
Glimpse of you
Standing on the other corner
Of the street
I wonder to myself, subtly
If I would ever have the chance
To meet
And look deep into your emerald eyes
But it wasn't meant to be
That was years before
Now I'm on my own
Holding a tree, underneath
The streetlight ...
Through the city
I'm holding onto a tree
Underneath the streetlight
Where I first saw you
And I know it's coincidental
That I'm stopped here
But I hope to catch even a slight
Glimpse of you
Standing on the other corner
Of the street
I wonder to myself, subtly
If I would ever have the chance
To meet
And look deep into your emerald eyes
But it wasn't meant to be
That was years before
Now I'm on my own
Holding a tree, underneath
The streetlight ...
