Prehistoric Pride
Temples fall when reason calls,
But who's the one to blame?
Cities crumble, skin can bubble,
But all in who's name?
One to rule us, one to fool us,
One to give false hope.
One to take the life you made,
and make it its own.
Not to say that hope can't change
the way a person dies;
But it still works its funny quirks
on those who are alive.
Buildings fall, but duty calls from prehistoric pride;
So follow now the morals vowed,
once upon a time.
One to rule us, one to fool us,
One to give false hope.

Beautifully Dead
Calm, collected, calculated,
careful, but I kind of hate it.
Forgive me, I stand corrected,
I fucking loathe my collections.
Angst and anger motivate me,
Mind in danger, I'm rotating.
Progress pays the final toll
That swallows all my actions whole.
Painted rainbows glisten colors
Undescribed by all our mothers.
Glitter falls from overhead,
Until we're all beautifully dead.
careful, but I kind of hate it.

Side By Side
I don't wanna fight,
When both of us are right.
Let's leave it all behind
In this gentle night.
I don't want to miss you,
So what's my fuckin issue,
With wasting all your tissues?
At least I know this is true:
I sleep on my side,
when you're not by mine.
I dream that I tried,
but morning arrives.
Just know that I cried,
And woke with dry eyes.
I don't wanna listen,
When you're eyes are glistenin',
I just wanna hold you,
And give you what you're missin'.
I don't wanna fight...
When both of us are right.
Let's leave it all behind
In this gentle night.
I don't want to miss you,
So what's my fuckin issue,
With wasting all your tissues?

Food For Thought
I can swallow my conscience
But it tastes like bullets,
You can guess how well it
Quenches my famished gullet.
I can cut off my voice,
But it feels like a noose,
Suffocating because
I'm too afraid to choose.
Stop playing tricks on me,
Stop pulling my fucking strings.
Stop mindless catering,
And Let me repair things.
I can swallow my guilt,
But I can't swallow my face.
I can break what I've built,
But it won't be erased.
I can swallow my shame,
But I can't swallow my pride.
I can...

Pyrotechnics
I built a large arch of roses
So I could walk to you.
Scarlet visions in mass doses
Numbed my thorn - torn shoes.
The floral scent dripped firmament,
And lovers dreams of you;
But once I went to where we met,
You ran me through and through.
I lost my balance, down I fell,
From my rose viaduct.
But on the ground I found a match,
And considered it luck.
Burning bridges never felt so good.
Losing everything did me right.
Earning stitches felt like it should,
A stinging aftershock of insight.
So I could walk to you.

She Is Not
She is not the girl I can't live without.
She is not the one
who burns my heart with the fire of
One thousand suns.
She is not the pinnacle of my whole existence.
She is not the reason that I seek recompense.
She is not the only one I could ever love,
And I fear she is not always more than enough.
What she is, is someone who can hear me,
Someone who doesn't fear me.
She is someone who understands
The aches and breaks that make a man.
She is someone I can talk with,
A like mind, and I've lost it.

The Man Who Always Cried
He cried when he was happy,
He cried while he was sad,
He cried when he felt nothing,
He cried while he was mad.
He cried when he saw laughter,
He cried when he saw tears,
He cried when he saw someone
Aged beyond their years.
He cried when he would walk home
From Work every day.
He cried when he had free time,
So he drank it away.
He cried when he was loving,
He also cried alone.
He cried looking in eyes
That, for him, only shone.
He cried out of sorrow,
Empathy, and love.

Dragon Valley
Death looms, predatory, alive, and fierce.
Death blooms through this valley, with eyes that pierce.
Death grows mandatory, hungry, and strong,
Death knew it was right before we thought it was wrong.
This is a battlefield,
This is a killing room.
This is a battlefield,
We're just filling tombs.
Death flows, like a dark, Swift river of Ice.
Death freezes all faces of those, once alive.
Death falls like all angels destined to hell,
Death calls from the throats all of those who fell.

Anti Venom
There is a disease
running free in your veins,
It's killing your sight
and it's numbing your pain.
I am the anti venom.
Suck it out of your wound,
Hurry up now,
before it's sealed your tomb.
I am the anti venom,
Get it out of your heart
I know it's dumbed you down,
but you're far too smart.
It's in your blood flow,
It comes from your genes.
They hope the seed grows
The more that they feed.
I am the famine,
I am your pestilence-death.
I am the bringer of sight
From the end keeper's breath.
