POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Cynical, satire and romantic with subtle surrealist touches. Not all in one go though obviously. Most of my poems are non rhyming, poetic short stories.
Breaking an idea
We were in my room,
smoking cones
until day bloomed
and as you stared at
the plastic stars
that hung on my
back. The notes
in your voice hit
my ears flatly
because the notes
didn't go
remarkably
with the atmosphere,
and thoughtless
fear wasn't going
to be intended,
because of it's relevance
and that broke
an idea i had
of women,
They're weren't
these omnipotent
beings,
they were just
like lighters
you got
a few good flicks
a few good sparks
they'll light up
a room...

Thousands dead.
My milk asteroid poured wet concrete
on her blue bottle jellyfish as the
summit of Mount Everest collapsed
a train tunnel full of passengers.
Some survived i guess.
No one noticed it, we were the
only one to witness it, but it
happened. The stars dimmed
a little so we didn't watch
the pain afterwards. Space
sang angrily, and God got out
of his chair and flipped the desk.
But he didn't see me break apart
and shatter towns in central china
as her blue lotus' burnt hieroglyphs
into the rice fields men died for.

Revolving doors.
You cant
find happiness
at the bottom
of a bottle,
or at the
bottom
of a pussy
or at the
back of the throat.
It won't be there
at the end
of a fuck,
or at the
end of a spliff
or as you've
pulled your tenth
cone
it's not
a great feeling,
happiness
it's one of
contentment
where
you don't
have to do
those things
to be happy,
but you
do them anyway
to emphasis
the happiness
you're filling
in hopes
to share
that with
those who
are...

oddly enough
He said it
while gazing
at his room
"this is just
the one
last time"
as he forced and
slid the needle
into his arm
and he knew
deep down
it wasn't
and so
he pushes
down the lever
and forgets
about her
and the camping
and the planes
and everything
that isn't

last time
he tells
that lie
to everyone
like the lies
we tell ourselves
every day to get by
"This is okay."

Having sex on a balcony
The wind blew
the drapes
into the room
as we laid
on the tiles
of the balcony
drinking the fourth
bottle of vodka
we got that day
as the empty
ones at our feet
clang like
a grand father clock
The seas breeze
put a certain
taste in the air
that made your hair
cling to the
nape of my neck
And as you put
one leg on the railing
and the other
inside the hotel
room,
we heard drunken
teens scream
as the sea
beckoned me
to drive in.

The idea of a socialist government
Whats the point
of a government
that doesn't take
its social cues
from society?
isn't
the government
meant to
change due
to societies
standards,
and not the
government
imposing
their standards
on you?
Theres no
real point
in saying abortion
is wrong
just because
you don't agree
with it
when there is
14 year old
girls giving themselves
coat hanger
abortions
when it
could be
done safely
Or when a
a capital state
legalises weed
and people...

and i considered you so perfect.
i've met people who consider themselves perfect
but then realised their follies in mere fractions
and destroy themselves in great leaps
i then only realised i knew you in mere fractions
but we took such great leaps

f**k it, words!
my jaw drops
as the match
of an idea
sets off
the fireworks
of progression
accidentally
she fumbles
at the buttons
of her blouse
like her hands
had succumbed
to numbness
we kissed as
the bass broke
the floorboards
and she finally
gets it off
the windows
let in a breeze
that makes
her nipples
perk up
and i engulf
them whole,
like i wanted
it just as bad
as her
she whisks her hair back
perpendicular to the the sheets
letting me
tread on her
soul.

From my perspective
I think
patience is necessary
and waiting
could possibly
be the best
thing in life,
because
I've waited
all my life
for love
for friends
for drugs
for death,
and i've realised
whether it's waiting
to get served at
the cafe or
waiting for a text,
or waiting for your
phone to get repaired,
we're all waiting
none the less

The pinnacle of perfection
She's got
those perky
ass cheeks that
curves perfectly
upwards to
meet the small
of her back
in an exquisite
example
of symmetry
it was like
looking at
elephant ivory
carved by
passionate
afrikaans
or roman
architecture,
the pineal
of aesthetics
for the era
and as my
hand met
the soft flesh
I knew what
it was like
enforcing
perfection
as she moaned
at me
to slap harder
those perky
ass cheeks that
curves perfectly
upwards to
meet the small
of her back

Please understand.
I don't want
to hear
your snide
and thoroughly
witless remarks
because, and
i know it
seems odd
to say this
but with
everything
thats happening
and the way you
are presenting
yourself,
i don't want
you to dig
the grave
any deeper
then what
it is,
You'll realise
how fucked
up your being
in a few
days time,
and you
will wish
you didn't
say any
of this
so please,
save your
stupidity
for a day
when you
won't hate
yourself
later for...

How all the flowers in the world came to be
Her bud
smelt clean,
like fresh
spring mornings
and you've
woken up
camping
in a foreign
forest
Her patch
of thin platinum
vines hid
the dew
soaked pedals
as i sunk
the root
of my
fingers
inside of her
i knew
almost suddenly
and it seemed
so obvious after
