I Love You
I never want to hurt you.
All I want to do is love you.
Unconditional
With all my heart.
It's hard to express that to you,
We are together less than we are apart,
But I'm learning.
I'm learning all the pathways of your heart.
Sometimes I get lost trying to find
the reasoning of your mind.
I know I'll learn in time.
Please be patient.
We are at a disadvantage.
I'm here
You're there,
But our hearts are together.
Are we strong enough to fight even the worst of weather?
When we're mad at each other, ...
All I want to do is love you.

God’s Glory
As the breeze brushes against my face,
God’s whispering in my ear.
Engulfing me in his presence.
Drawing me so near.
I revel in His majesty.
I’m in awe at all his ways.
I’m basking in his sunlight
As the earth gives Him praise.
The trees stand tall
Reaching for heaven.
Swaying to the sound
Of a choir of birds in harmony.
Hovering above the ground.
The flowers do a little dance
As they wave their petals high.
The Son of God is shining down.
Pleased with their reply.

LOVE
Love is like a drug.
Toxic, euphoric.
It can keep you flying high
Soaring above the clouds
Feeling like you could never come down.
Or you’re falling in a nosedive
Bursting into flame
In a sea of tears
Trying not to drown.
So magnificent
The wave of emotions love can bring.
No matter what its tune
Your heart will sing.
Joy, sadness,
Hope, despair.
No soul could thrive
Without love being there.
I marvel at love.
The worlds’ greatest gift.
The hearts’ most precious accessory. ...

You told me that it's over
But it's you I adore
Can you honestly say you don't love me anymore?
Maybe you can
But I can't
Always on my mind
It's hard to let it go
Leaving my feelings behind
You have been the only music in my ear for quite awhile
I never learned all the words
But the melody still makes me smile
I think about the way u had me dancing to your beat
The way your fingers played me like those ivory keys
I can still hear those words
"I aim to please"
And you did
Just to hear...
But it's you I adore

Flaws
The woman in the mirror is hard to look at.
So many imperfections.
Flaws.
So many corrections to make,
Can’t seem to fix them all.
I feel like I’m going crazy.
Thinking that maybe
If I were different,
Love would be unconditionally given.
I feel like I’m dying
Instead of living.
I try to smile,
But the tears always fall.
I try to be right,
But I’m always wrong.
I try to fit in,
But I don’t belong.
Other people see what’s good in me.
I don’t always see it,
But He never sees it. ...

Huh?
I see lips moving,
But no sound.
Thoughts going around and around
Filling my head.
I didn’t hear a word she said.
I’m so distracted.
A lot on my mind.
I can’t separate the voice in my head
From hers;
Not enough time.
Finally she pauses.
All eyes on me.
All eyes on who?
She silently waits.
As polite as can be
I say “Could you repeat that again?”
But no sound.
Thoughts going around and around

I’ve been still for so long
I forgot I could walk.
Stuck in the same place,
Same mindset,
Haven’t reached my goals yet.
Looking ahead
There’s so much to do.
So much to see
A new person to be.
The cage door is open
Inviting me to be free

No More
I am a strong woman”
Is what I’ve always dreamed of believing,
But the reflection looking back at me
Isn’t the truth.
So deceiving.
All I see is a tear stained face.
Trying to make you love me,
But I fall so far from grace,
You glaring above me.
Hateful words burying me.
Smothering me.
Keeping me rooted
In this false image of myself.
You’re supposed to love me to life,
But you’re loving me to death.
Or is it love.
That’s the shameful reality.
A prisoner of my mind.
Bound by my insecurities. ...

Locks beautiful and flowing,
Like the river Nile.
You got me caught up
In your current.

Your aura,
Overtaking my senses.
So relentless.

Beauty In the Ashes
Beauty can be found
In many places.
In the words of a song.
In the sound of joyful cries.
We always look into the light
To find what’s beautiful,
But it’s in our darkest corners
Where beauty lies.
It’s in those moments
When you’re down
And you’re weak from crying.
You’re tired of trying.
You see no hope,
So you dream of dying.
It’s after the fire,
When all you know
Is buried in sadness and pain.
It’s when a stronger version
Of yourself appears
After the rain.

I Love You Lord
I love you Lord
Not just because you first loved me
But because you’ve rescued me
So many times.
Because you’ve made a way out of no way
And even when I fix my lips to say
“I don’t trust you”
You love me more.
Because you brought me back into the light
When I had lost my will to fight
Didn’t want to be here
You said “have no fear
I still love you”.
Because even when I was living in sin
Didn’t know I was dying within
You breathed breath back into me
Without You
Who knows where I’d be. ...

My heart forever tingling,
