Guilt
A guilty heart weighs heavy on me, while being troubled by the pressures of my life.
The guilt of not measuring up, the guilt of not being that rock my life needs, the guilt of not being that person I want to be.
Yeah, I know guilt comes with living, but I just wanna know when does it stop?
When does that shining light, finally rains down on me to rid me of this pressure? So, I can finally feel free of this trap I manifested in my mind.
When does the pain from not measuring up to expectations placed on me, to be the reliable go to, finally fade...
The guilt of not measuring up, the guilt of not being that rock my life needs, the guilt of not being that person I want to be.
Yeah, I know guilt comes with living, but I just wanna know when does it stop?
When does that shining light, finally rains down on me to rid me of this pressure? So, I can finally feel free of this trap I manifested in my mind.

In this chaotic world they just want to be heard.
So they let out cries of anger and mass destruction to amplify their voice.
To give the men in blue that turns the men in black red over color a choice.
To lay down their arms and end centuries of misplaced brutality,
And stand with them to unite the country in sodality.
So what will you do men of blue?
Continue to raise your misplaced arms against the men in black and forever silence their muffled screams
Or stand with them to turn years of senseless violence from a nightmare into just a dream. ...

Non existent existence
How can I call this an existence without you near me.
Never knowing the gentle caress of your touch across my face
Never having the chance to hold you in a loving embrace.
Has my heart racing from just the thought,
Of you and I being worlds apart.
Yet, growing closer from your looks and words
That quietly penetrate my mind day in and day out.
But still loud enough to force it’s way pass this impenetrable wall placed around my heart.
How can I call this an existence
Knowing that the days seem longer...
Never knowing the gentle caress of your touch across my face

Foundation
She entered my life out of nowhere. Just to turn things upside down and inside out.
Laying the foundation of my destruction with every move she made.
Never understanding this game she played was meant to break me, not make me into a better me for the next one I meet. But, to be warped into thinking she’s the only one for me and that life without her is destined to be bleak.
So, I continued to play this game of her’s. Looking through squinted eyes at the lies right in front of me. Hoping the truth I perceived was in fact true and not a combination of hand picked...

Light a path
Light a path for me in this dark and cold world.
Guide me to my destination so I can be relieved of these frustration.
That sit on my shoulder weighing me down from reaching greater heights.
Shine your light bright on this beaten path that I walk day in and day out.
Show me a way out of this mundane life so I can be done with this fear of change
That follows me around like a shadow hinged to my back preventing me from being the person I want to be.
Just light your light to make everything clear so I can stop making the same...

Time and time again
Thought you was my best friend
You said you wasn’t going to leave
Which I really wanted to believe
But you left in the end
Time and time again
Thought you was my girlfriend
You said you stay by my side
Thought you was going to ride
With me to the very end

Thought you and I were golden
Then I looked you in the eye
I couldn’t see the lie
that you were out creepin

Neverland
Whisk me away to lalaland,
Where I shall awake in my neverland
Where dreams are reality and reality was just a dream
That was pulling at the seams
Where time moves slowly and the clock rewinds, back to a life that was only real in my mind
Of countless days full of joy...filled with love...that somehow skipped me when I was just a boy
Here life still has mystery and wonder, but there everything makes you wonder
How this place could exist or how did things end up like this
So I’ll stay forever in my slumber
So I don’t have...

A Shell
Take this heart of mine and ravage it in savagery.
Take it and consume the love it once held, the hope it once had...
Cause it will never fell the joy from another.
Cage it off from the love it once lost, Tossing it aside before another love crosses its path.
Let these emotions that that weighs heavy on this heart, crumb to dust.
Since I can no longer trust these feelings that warped itself to stone,
Choosing to forever be alone.
Let them drift with the wind,to carry the happiness that was once there...
The tears that were once shed... ...
Take it and consume the love it once held, the hope it once had...

You are always there staring back at me with eyes of regret.
But, who are you? I ask.
But, no response is all I get. Only a worn down expression across your face.

With eyes glazed over from tears that run ramped. A mind who’s choice is, but to be confined to a safe place inside your head.

You are there every morning when I awake and every night before my head hits the bed.

A New Me
I’m in the process of my progress of getting my life back on track from a torn apart heart. Starting to see the light from the dark in which they played their part.
Reversing the order of my role from good guy to bad, cause I had enough with the chicks trying to walk across my back.
So I’m back with a vengeance to play my games and put these hoes in their place. Cause I be dammed if I let another try to fill this empty space in my heart.
