Persistence
Persistence… a small word for a monstrous fight.
When daemons of pain keep you awake at night.
When your body bends as your soul twists and breaks.
When the only thing you can possibly feel is all consuming hate.
When you look at the world and feel the sickness inside.
When there is no safe haven for love, because life is a lie.
When the eyes that see are blind to all that is real.
When there is nothing at all that time can possibly heal.

Little death by fire
He tasted of bad decisions and matured whiskey...
He smelled like ocean thunderstorms, coconuts and sunshine.
He felt right in all the wrong ways, hard and silky, the embodyment of my darkness...
He was a fate worse than death... killing me softly with rough hands and smooth lips.
His wicked touch could set fire to the rain and drench me in flames.
A steel-tongued Lucifer, asking to grant my every, deep, desire.
He makes my daemons shift restlessy in their cages, shuddering and shattering the bars.
Hell is loose inside me and only he can dance...

Finding only judgment from ones living questionable lives.
There is no more room in my back for all these knives.
Reaching out for truth, a truth I always knew,
I never imaged I would find a person such as you.
I am trapped in the darkness of this moment without you.

Untitled Humanity
Fractured beings exist in non-existence
Doing the daily dance of least resistance
No more love nor hearts to share
Caught in life’s unforgiving snare.
Porcelain skin, alabaster stone,
Always together, always alone.
Empty shells, our contents on our sleeves.
The burden of etherialism brings us to our knees.
Breaking free of the prisons we build.
Stepping behind the bars of the cages we have willed.
Our spirits cry and bend within flesh and bone,
Begging to be free, begging to be taken home…
Breathing in the lies,...
