POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
When I was little I hated English, especially poetry. But after tenth grade, my teacher had opened my eyes to it and now I love writing short stories and poetry. It has saved me, from myself.
The Girl who Dyed
There was a girl with hair as white as snow
She loved to sing but no one will ever know
She dyed her hair black like a raven
She cried, screamed up at the heavens
She dyed her hair again, this time a deep red
To match the color of blood, which she bled
She loved to sing but no one will ever know
She dyed her hair black like a raven
She cried, screamed up at the heavens
She dyed her hair again, this time a deep red
To match the color of blood, which she bled

Looking into the glass window.
Look closer when you look in the mirror. What do you see? Do you see yourself? Or a stranger? Someone you don’t know. Someone you’re scared of. They frighten you, you want to look away but you cannot. You’re trapped, captivated by their gaze. You must not be afraid. Yes, they are frightening but you must know that they love you. They cannot say it but they want to. They wish to see you happy, to touch you, hold you. So tell them, look into their eyes, and say I love you. And you will watch them say it too. And then you won’t be so afraid of them.

Thinking of death
No feeling,
no pain,
no emotions,
nothing.
Is dying really the way to get this?
The only chance to be free
from this heartbreaking world?
Is it worth it?
To get away from the horrrible people here?
Is it worth ending my life,
to walk away and never look back?
no pain,
no emotions,
nothing.
Is dying really the way to get this?
The only chance to be free
from this heartbreaking world?
Is it worth it?
To get away from the horrrible people here?
Is it worth ending my life,
to walk away and never look back?

Look at me
What do I have to do for you?
Change my clothes?
Dye my hair?
Cut my hair?
Get a tatoo?
Get some piercings?
Have sex?
Get pregnant?
Get bad grades?
Fail my classes?
What do I have to do to get you to look at me?
Scream?
Curse?
Cry?
What do you want from me?
Just tell me before I lose my mind.
Before I do something I'll regret.
Please, do it.
For me.

Burning
I can't breathe
My vision is blurry
All I see are blurs
Of red, orange, and yellow
I tried to breathe
But only toxic smoke
Filling my lungs
Choking me
I can't find them
I'm all alone
And I'm going to die
I use the last bit of my air
And scream
My voice was dry
I could barely hear it myself
Then everything goes black
I feel my body growing weak
Then I feel it
I'm in someone's arms
Who can it be?
God?
My vision is blurry
All I see are blurs
Of red, orange, and yellow
I tried to breathe
But only toxic smoke
Filling my lungs
Choking me
I can't find them
I'm all alone
And I'm going to die

Then I feel it
I'm in someone's arms

I don't
They have money
I don't
They have both parents
I don't
They have so many friends
I don't
They say they're beautiful
I don't
They have smiles on their faces
I don't
They have everything
I don't
They think they're better than me
I don't
I don't
They have both parents
I don't
They have so many friends
I don't
They say they're beautiful
I don't
They have smiles on their faces
I don't

Not The Same
The sun is shining bright
I only see darkness
The air is hot
I feel cold
They're all the same
I'm different
Other girls wear shorts, tank tops, and sandals
I wear jeans, sweaters and sneakers
They wear light colors
I wear dark ones
They're all the same
I'm different
They're happy
I'm not
They smile
I frown
They're all the same
I'm different
They laugh
I cry
They talk
I stay quiet
They're all the same
I'm different
In so many ways
I only see darkness
The air is hot
I feel cold
They're all the same
I'm different
Other girls wear shorts, tank tops, and sandals
I wear jeans, sweaters and sneakers
They wear light colors
I wear dark ones
They're all the same
I'm different

They're all the same
I'm different

They're all the same
I'm different

Little Darling
Little darling, don't you cry
So what, if she dies
Little darling, don't you see
No matter what, she's gonna bleed
Little darling, don't you run
We're gonna have, so much fun
Little darling, don't you scream
I'll make it seem, like just a dream
Little darling, don't you lie
Or you'll be, the next one to die
So what, if she dies
Little darling, don't you see
No matter what, she's gonna bleed
Little darling, don't you run
We're gonna have, so much fun
Little darling, don't you scream
I'll make it seem, like just a dream
Little darling, don't you lie
Or you'll be, the next one to die
