A Glimpse
Was it all a dream?
A glimpse of your memory unfolds
This hollow presence lurking beneath aches
Whenever i open my eyes
I don’t see you
It's a deja vu, you’ve done this before
Yet this time, it feels different
For you’ve shut all the doors
And left me here
Wandering with the silence
My only response
I’ll keep your memory close to me
Never letting go
You’re never forgotten
Never leaving the frame
And I’ll try not to let your image
Fade

Frozen in Motion
Leaden gray sky weeps
Pitter patter of the rain
A chill wind bites
Lost senses, wandering gaze
People living on
Yet, here, i froze
Imprisoned within
Stuck in a loop
That strangles my breath
Its weight, oh so heavy
Making me break instead
Whispers that hold me down
Ghosts that haunt me down
Lost in my own path
Hoping for a light to pierce through
Pitter patter of the rain

Tainted
The stains of sorrow cling and rub
No matter how much she claws and scrubs
Nothing seems to purge those inner scars
Imprinted deep where pureness once was
She closes her lids, for a brief veil
To respite the consuming pain
Yet, shadows paint the vivid scenes
The echoes whisper, haunting the stillness
The memory’s hand weight too heavy
On this deserted land, still pressing freshly
Will solace ever be found in this cleansing foam
Or to a never home, she must wander?

Paradox of Longing
A hollow shell
The chill breeze whispers through
But barely a quiver on skin it caresses
Deep within, an emptiness extends
Where feeling itself seems dead
Yearning for warmth
A comforting glow
Yet at its touch, a hidden seed of anguish
A tangled dance
This push and pull
To crave and reject

a friend, you call me
yet, i, like an unseen shadow, linger
words trapped inside
leaving silent watches
the "why" echoes unanswered
