Im no hero
A recognition of a hero
For those who have lived this feat
A hero isnt made from bravery
They are made from a moment of temporary insanity
Its not that they arent heros to others
To them its the moment all seemed hopeless
They fought back
Being a hero isnt fearless
But overcoming that fear to survive
A woman sees her child go under a car she can lift that car
Adrenaline and fear a strong lethal combination
Ive been called a hero ribbons pinned
Letters penned
Why are you praising me
What you are...
For those who have lived this feat

Lost in thought
Hit, bag rocks
Left right left left right
Harder faster
I hit with all my might
Bag splits
I stare as i take it down
Set up next bag
Wipe the sweat from my brow
Again i begin the rythm
Pop pop pop glove to bag
Left hand chain snaps bag flops
Breathe lift it put it back its tore and sags
Switch lift weights up down
I got this breath refocus calm yourself
Arms burn push passed
Go til nothings left
Sit up drink breathe
Shes staring "papi" i hug her
She looks nervous
"Calm...
Left right left left right
Harder faster
I hit with all my might
Bag splits
I stare as i take it down

Facing giants
I stare at the man in the mirror
As the pain ripples every muscle
The blood cascading his lips from cough
Chest a fire from the crippling ache
Sweat poring along my face
I clean out the sink
Looking back skin paling white
To much at once cant think
I shower to kill time but the door opens anyway
"Papi, Are you ok"
She looks into the shower
"I'm fine love right as the rain"
I know by the look in her eyes she doesnt believe
How do i ease her mind
I know ill beat this
It just takes time

Body and mind exercise
I took my normal run this morning into the mountains
Tree log coursed over my shoulders
Incline decline shift little over sixteen kilometers
My mind considers every aspect
Life gives us ups and downs shift adapt overcome
It bares weight down on our shoulders hang inbut eventually you drop the burden
Grab my bar variant forms of chin ups
My wife no matter what angle i come shes uplifting
Twenty one and a half stones bench press
My girls no matter how hard to go away the return is easy
Lessons of life in all we do clear your mind...

Down by the river
Drift by the river lost in thought
Thinking about all I need to do
All the lessons that life has taught
I see my reflection how to fix you
Im not built to lay down not looking for pity
Just has to be something better
Something less poison medicine of the witty
No matter what i at last this weather
I will be to see my childrens children
I will sit with her grey haired sipping tea
We will see passed this storm again
Yall cannot get rid of me

The fight begins
Ive dance with many devils.
Around the world ive fought my way home
Ive never fought demons on these levels
What more do i need to atone
My queen in tears
My princesses dont understand
I try to calm her we've overcame greater fears
Not the first time they've signed adeath warrant on this man
Do not worry my queen we will pull through
The xrays dont scare me at all
Look at my history you were there we did that to
Life has knocked me down but never will i fall
Just stand with me dear you by my side ill defeat one more...

Reminisce of the day
Not as strong as i once was but i manage
Sweat glistening my body as I press the bar
Jump up grab the bar knees to elbows ten minutes
Raise my body above the bar upside down pushups pace my heart
Gymnastic handle bars
Time to loosen up a bit
Jump rope build the pace find the flow
Heavy bag time to hit
Ten mile jog
Stretching exercise meditate recenter it all
Start squatting logs
Grab an axe cut up timber
Ninety one kilogram curls plus my two hanging girls they giggle each lift
Push ups they sit on my back
Bearclaws they...

Tattered wings
As we return home I lay in bed
She runs her hands down my side
Touching my old scars
"Papi how does a man love so deeply, kill himself so brutally."
Nothing bothered me as much as the tears she cries now
She tells me i need to learn to relax
Ive pushed beyond any mans limits
"The tattered beast you see on judgement day is not a demon but your guardian angel."
"Let him rest papi hes earned it you've given a life of stress let him rest and heal."
"You love like an angel. Always at battle like a devil."
Im home dear liz those days are gone ...

Still standing
Pain wrecks my head
Shimmers hit my body hard
Nose bleeding migrane
Clean my face trimmers settle slightly scared
Damage deep inside
Wow that one was harder than the last
Body wore out arm struggling to function
Muscles tightened so hard they feel soon they will split in half
Many fights under my belt
Im loosing a fight against an opponet i cant see

Little pink tea cups and plastic cookies
Best little cook in the world
Such a little hostess my cup never runs dry
We talk of what yall want to do today
Manucures hair done
The ladies of the salon laugh as i sit and have my nails painted with you
Though i must say this glitter pink looks better on yall
Your mothers beaming smile says all i need to know
Your little laughs tell me your having a blast
We stop and pick out dresses your mother has a better knack than I

Just spending time
My kids climb upon my shoulders
We talk of the wonderful things in nature
So inquisitive and smart i love to hear
My wife laughs as we go "Girls let you father rest"
I motion to tell her they are fine
As we reach the pond i squat to let them down
In my head i know ill never catch a fish
Ill be busy baiting and casting
I wont complain though im loving their conversations
Celestial speaks of a boy whom has a crush on her
Im not happy but i wont show her
I merely state he must meet us several times

You ladies
I laughed as my kids tell me their thoughts
Not sure if my wife sent them to better my mood
They compare me to things i know nothing of
I love it though cause i know they mean well
They believe im indestructible if only they knew how wrong they are
Im lucky ive survived all that i have
I have no delusions of immorality
Im blessed for i have such a beautiful family
My youngest believes no one is stronger than I
Yet as she talks i look at their mother
Dear girls if you only knew how strong she is
I cant even explain how strong she is ...
