Isolation And Seclusion
Life of isolation, seclusion
Inside counting the walls
Plotting a dramatic escape
That'll never happen
Thinking about you and me
All that came to pass and never happened
Wishing you would've put me out
Of my miserable misery
Light from a crack strikes
Blinded beyond repair
Mistake me for a ghost
Pale and silent in this tomb
Air thick with dust and shame
Choking the little life I had left
Straight out of me, and then
Straight to you
Don't try to call me
Ripped the cord from the wall

Hope
I hope the night kills the day
And I’ll lie in the grass
Look up at the stars and think
You’re doing the same thing
I hope it rains forever and ever
I’ll sing and dance until the waters
Go over my head and I’ll think
Of you on higher ground
I hope the last war is fought
When everybody’s done killing
I’ll thank flower power and think
You’re listening to Jimi Hendrix
I hope heaven opens up to us
And Jesus comes and pats me on the back
I’ll stop doubting all there is and think
You’re doing the same thing

Natural Born Grievers
Bloated stomach, sunken eyes
Maggots in your mouth
Pretty life you were deprived
Trekking to the south
Taste of blood and smoke
Last shot has been fired
Sanity of the world has broke
All your friends expired
Poor and miserable beauty queen
Dressed up like a clown
Lost dream of being on the silver screen
The only way for her is down
Petty beggar in the gutter
Cold strikes you without warning
Not another word to utter
Gone before the morning
Politician lost his dignity

Existence
Waking up at the crack in the ceiling
I find my friends up there, in the dark
In my head, so jump inside to find
The meaning of your existence
A condensed explanation of misery
Not nearly enough time to tell bloody tales
Rather live it yourself than be told how it is
So much more fun that way
Always remember to shoot first, never ask questions
For the truth is much too dark to be known
Just cut up your morals like paper, throw them into the trash
And light them on fire to keep warm as the battle rages on
An ivory tower stained...

Between the smiles
Conceived so crookedly
Like a grueling mile
I’m not here
Where hope sits
It doesn’t know
The half of it

Where green grew
And virgins learned
They’re so few

Loveless
Oh, lover of togetherness
I’m nothing but loveless
Cursed with repulsion
Bitter and helpless
Oh, lover of happiness
I’m nothing but heartless
A rather nasty compulsion
To be so thoughtless
Oh, lover of cleverness
I’m nothing but brainless
No need for education
When everything’s pointless
Oh, lover of warmness
I’m nothing but bloodless
No need for circulation
Bone dry and so aimless
Oh, lover who hates my mess
I’ll walk away and repress
Struggling with this celebration
Of being so loveless

Damnation Boom
Everyone’s tripping and falling
And mother superior’s calling
She’s howling like she’s dying
All the bloody tears she’s crying
Lucifer came and stole her breath
Took it all, nothing left
With her tears, he wrote a sign
On the Wailing Wall, said “it’s all mine”
Wall crumbled into tainted dust
From all the debauchery and lust
Suddenly, the world was all ablaze
Obsessed with the bondage craze
Sister Christian splitting the nerves
Gouging my eyes, and flaunting her curves
Clad in leather, sharing her shame
Then asking if...

Awful
Dirty skyline, fake clouds
Grey ground, black trees
A sound uttered, then lost
Visible past, can’t look
Outside so bare
Nothing to talk about
Just some space in between
What once was here
Sphere of shame turns
Feel it move to the beat
Of the lonely universe
That pleads for warmth
Mistakes were made
Take the fault, please
I don’t want to anymore
Too ashamed to walk
Smoking mirrors, promises

Eternity
I found a reason not to try
And a way to say goodbye
I overcame the impossible
And found a way to fly
I drank from the fountain of youth
And ran away, just too aloof
Then the gentle light from the crescent moon
Showed them all the proof
This façade just couldn’t last
It came, and then it passed
The die was cast and the stars were aligned
Then the people stood there, so aghast
I fooled you all, so gullible
All the secrets told, so manageable
You love me for the lie, hate me for the truth
But this time it’s all too...

Unknown Girl
She wails and shrieks to get their attention
So they can watch her gloomy descension
And see her make the wrong decision
And see her stop the circulation
She thinks that she’s so sure
That what she’s doing is the cure
A way to make herself pure
With her mirror she confers
It’s her against this dirty existence
A chance for her is way past tense
She’s tired of humoring them at her expense
No one standing up in her defense
But this lump of coal was once a pearl
That shined its beauty upon the world
Now that beauty has been...

Death Rattle
Death rattle of interest
Hear it sound, and be blessed
In a moment, in a flash
Light too bright, then you crash
Seems to be just in your head
All the sense has just fled
Useless, useful, which is it?
Break straight down, throw a fit
Must be close to the jump
Dirty and down in the dumps
Spread your arms, just don’t look
Last breath that you ever took
Angel wings flutter free
Then she makes a final plea
Never mind that she cries
Realize that everything dies
Flying free over the hills
Peace of mind, slow and...
Hear it sound, and be blessed

OBSERVATIONAL POEM

Generation Why
Conceived on the eve of the passage
Of one generation to another
Right at the birth of a golden age
But this is merely fool’s gold
Raised to believe fairy tales are fact
And peace is only a hear beat away
But the peace is flat lining now
Cardiac arrest of Cinderella
Watched what I didn’t know
Fall down in slow motion on the tv
That’s where things changed
And my innocence was buried in the rubble
Suddenly, it picks up speed, like a train
Elementary coincides with security
One more war to add to the history books
Never...
